IU has an established customer base and revenue stream. It's all those sub alums still celebrating their dusty banners. Purdue, not so much. Purdue football is pretty much run like Where Else? It gets old and then requires a complete teardown for something new.

I am talking about football, not basketball. All the sub-alums have their ND gear on at the moment.

When they donate to the university or buy that reversible jacket, it's still going to the athletic program as a whole. Can't remember the last time I saw Purdue merchandise being sold outside of the clearance rack of Marshalls. Notre Dame and IU? See it all the time.

BUT, PU is the only B1G school who has to share that with the University ...

May not have been 'required',
but last year UM gave the university 1.7M toward non athletic scholarships

As a JPC member, I prefer to watch for the hateful note from Nancy Cross blaming my cheap *ss for the situation.

She's worse than Burke and that's saying something.
