At 1:59. When the other team goes to foul it is a liability. The man hit an NBA three for the dagger. Relax.
PJ better than LewJack? Strenuously object.IMO, PJ is better all around that Lew Jack and LJ is probably the best point we've had since Deane. You can't take PJ out of any game.
I liked Lew and I like PJ, completely different point guards that made/make their teams better.Lew couldn't shoot until his senior year, and even then wasn't really a threat. PJ has range, can handle the pressure pretty well this year, and thinks to pass first. I'd like to see his number compared to Lew's, but that really doesn't say much considering who surrounds/surrounded both of them. Neither were even the third offensive threat, but both know/knew how to make their team better. I'm not digging on Lew at all. He was a true Boiler and always will be. It's just my opinion that PJ is a better player, by a hair, and I don't think he gets much love, other than from Dakich when he calls games
Where did you get all that? The thread was about making FT to preserve a lead. There s zero question PJ hasn't been good lately. If he is going to call for the ball then he needs to make his freebies or get the ball to someone who can.Lew couldn't shoot until his senior year, and even then wasn't really a threat. If you don't want a good ball handler and a 94.7% free throw shooter on the floor when your trying to preserve a lead with under a minute to go then that is your problem. Not sure I would take PJ out, but I would have Spike in the game as well in that situation. I would take this logic any day of the week and run with it!IMO people on here calling for certain lineups and players to be on the court at certain times have no credibility at all anymore.
Not to mention Spike's been on the biggest stage & shown he could handle the pressure. If you don't want a good ball handler and a 94.7% free throw shooter on the floor when your trying to preserve a lead with under a minute to go then that is your problem. I agree with having Spike in with a short lead at the of games-he has the experience and he's automatic from the free throw line. Thompson struggles in big games at charity stripe-it is what it is. I thought that was the reason for bringing him on the team, letting him play due to his experience. Hell he's been further in the tournament that Painter has.Not to mention Spike's been on the biggest stage & shown he could handle the pressure.
Biggie helped out with the 20, 12, and 7.PJ won the game for us. Huge 3 and 2 fts to clinch the game.
He also played really good defense on Morris there late on the play that Biggie got the timeout on.Biggie helped out with the 20, 12, and 7.
