Marve

Okay, let's put it another way. He was one of the top 100 or so professionals in his chosen field, and he accomplished that while standing on one leg.

He was rated the 26th best QB in the 2013 NFL Draft. I doubt that puts him near the top 100 QBs overall at any point in time. He had 1 TD and 4 INTs in 5 games as a backup QB in the CFL and it seems unlikely he ever had a six-figure salary playing football.

Um, his employment record established him as one of the top 100 or so quarterbacks, not some draft projection put together by a bunch of pimply-faced, wannabe NFL scouts. Nice try.

Well the NFL drafted at least 11 QB's ahead of him so the NFL scouts agreed with the pimply-faced, wannabe NFL scouts that he was no better than 12th. Maybe if we added another 10 rounds to the NFL Draft we'd have found out how accurate 26th was. For all we know he might have ended up 40th.

Either way, he's never been close to being a top 100 QB in professional football.

No problem. You go tell the NFL that he is.
How many QB's are employed by NFL teams? I don't know. What I do know is that the number of professional QBs is small relative to the total population of QBs. So there's that, your bitterness, and pretty much nothing else.

That's cool but calling me bitter doesn't make him a top 100 QB any more than a backup gig in the CFL did.

Usually 3. Thats 96 that are most likely better than what is playing in the CFL.

And the CFL has 9 teams. That's 18 more first and second team QBs. 96+18=114, which is the epitome of "100 or so".

LOL, I'm dealing a couple of dumbasses over here.

So the CFL is the only option for QB's that can't cut it in the NFL?

WR for the browns is an option too apparently.

I doubt alternatives are even restricted to professional football given the pay in the CFL. The minimum salary is only 50k and the average salary was under 90k in 2014. Many quarterbacks are pretty intelligent people who probably have better opportunities outside of football than that. There are waitresses that make more than 50k a year.

LOL. Um, okay.

I get that you're probably awe-struck by that 50k a year a scrub in the CFL makes but it's not all that much man. Someone who has options can almost certainly find something better.
QBs in the CFL make more than 100K. Say what you want about those "scrubs", but they make more than you do. What does that say about your bitterness? Maybe it's just jealousy? I don't know, but it's sad. Can we just kill this thread before you show your ass some more?

He has no objective standard on which to base his claims, just bitterness and jealously.

How dare Marve's name be drug through the mud. He led my NCAA Football video game's Boilers to a BCS Championship.

Stupid EA. I miss the college sports games :mad:
I led David Blough to the NC his junior year and Keyante Green almost won the Heisman in my first year at Purdue after being an OC at Georgia State, Boston College, and Texas( won the NC my one year there). However Blough led the NCAA in picks despite also leading in receiving (because I suck).

Don't know how much scrub backup QBs in the CFL make but unless they are paying their backup QBs significantly more than the average league salary then I'm good. I would hope most people who have Purdue degrees make more than the average CFL player.

I still would like to feast to the man or woman who brings me a bad reputation to sir marve. not sure it'll happen.
