I still believe that DJ will be in the starting lineup next season alongside TKR. I like what Cluff brings but think that Jacobsen having the ability to spread the floor more will make him a great fit alongside Trey and give TKR room to work inside, potentially with less doubling by opposing bigs. Reports of DJ adding nearly 40 pounds should help him stand up better to battling down low too. Plus, his defensive presence can be huge, something that would've made a big difference this past season.
100% agree. Dj showed a lot of potential in what little we saw last season and I have this feeling he will leave Purdue with the all time blocks record.I still believe that DJ will be in the starting lineup next season alongside TKR. I acknowledge that it is a very small sample size, but Cluff is 5 for 7 from 3 for his career. Given that he was 78% from the line last year, as well, I suspect that he has the ability to space the floor enough for TKR to work, effectively. His stats are just very impressive in general. Everyone talks about his rebounding for good reason, but his field goal percentage and assists numbers are also very good. We’ll see how it translates to the Big Ten, but I expect him to figure out a way to be very complimentary to Trey.I still believe that DJ will be in the starting lineup next season alongside TKR. I don't know who will start and/or when, but I do believe there will be several minutes we see Trey and Daniel on the court together...particularly if Dan's perimeter shooting is as effective as possibleI still believe that DJ will be in the starting lineup next season alongside TKR. Paint said he’s 100% cleared! This is great to see. DJ must be pretty much completely healed now or there would be reluctance to do/allow this. We're going to win!
Go Boilers!
He could just wear shin guards, yeah?! Basically what Adrian Peterson did.Evacuate the city! Engage all defenses! And get this man a shield (for his shins)!
They might need to custom make one for 7’3” players. He could just wear shin guards, yeah?! Basically what Adrian Peterson did.
I bet Nike makes some sort of leg sleeve that has them 😂
Just stack two on each leg! They might need to custom make one for 7’3” players.
This is funny and reminds me of a Purdue Comic I wanted to make. It shows beds beside each other with the specific player's names on each headboard. Kind of like Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. When it got to Edey's bed, the bed was like 2 foot longer than the others. But now, Edey was crossed out and Jacobsen was listed underneath it instead. Maybe some day it could have like 5 names crossed out with the newest 7+footer entered. Like the changing of the guard. They might need to custom make one for 7’3” players.
nice to see for DJ esp since he basically lost a whole yr of PTThis is funny and reminds me of a Purdue Comic I wanted to make. I am horrible at drawing so I may have to A.I. it. And I won't change my day job. Is it Friday yet?
Purdue has actually had a long streak of 7 footers. Since 2014 and AJ. That streak would bet is one of the longest if not the longest. This is funny and reminds me of a Purdue Comic I wanted to make. Zach couldn’t even get Phil Knight to find him the Nike shoes he wanted. They might need to custom make one for 7’3” players.
I don’t know what to expect, but I’d think that OC turning 24 in November and having two years of D1 starting experience gives him a leg up. Reminds me of the tall kids from UConn who people said was better than Edey. Backed up as a freshman, lottery pick as a sophomore.I acknowledge that it is a very small sample size, but Cluff is 5 for 7 from 3 for his career. That said, while I am guessing that Cluff will start, I do think that DJ has an even higher ceiling than Cluff. I am excited to see it play out.
He’s 24??? Wow a 24 year old junior (eligibility wise).I don’t know what to expect, but I’d think that OC turning 24 in November and having two years of D1 starting experience gives him a leg up. Well, he took time off and was working a 40hr/ week job in a trade after high school…which some may actually call a “boilermaker” in Australia. He then played a bit of semi pro ball and then went to a JUCO in the states. He’s 24??? Wow a 24 year old junior (eligibility wise).

All depends on the JUCO ruling. He will be a “senior” this coming year.I thought he was a senior transfer with one season left. We might have him for two?
He’s the Kurt Warner of college basketball!Well, he took time off and was working a 40hr/ week job in a trade after high school…which some may actually call a “boilermaker” in Australia. He then played a bit of semi pro ball and then went to a JUCO in the states.
Donovan Clingan was picked ahead of Zach. He was the big tall man from UCONN. He also had a good year and made 2nd team all rookie team although Zach was first team.I don’t know what to expect, but I’d think that OC turning 24 in November and having two years of D1 starting experience gives him a leg up. That said I don't think he is the tall UCONN people you were referring to.
RIP Chadwick BEvacuate the city! Engage all defenses! And get this man a shield (for his shins)!
Still can't watch the intro to Wakanda Forever without tearing up.RIP Chadwick B
Daniel would need 4 full years to break Joe Barry's records100% agree. Dj showed a lot of potential in what little we saw last season and I have this feeling he will leave Purdue with the all time blocks record.
