Transferring to M$U to play football and basketball. Yikes.
M$U? Really lol. Do you know how many recruits MSU has lost because they wouldn’t pay? Josh Jackson, cliff alexander, Isaiah Stewart, Brian Bowen, Romeo Weems. The list goes on

Very disappointing to see this. With a couple of players quitting a few days before the last game, I hope things get better without getting any worse.
We can hope as much as we want, things are a mess on the football side...just the latest disappointment.
It’s weird how M$U fans think they “lose” recruits because they refuse to pay, but when they “win” recruits over those same other schools it’s because those recruits wanted to turn down all that money to play for Whizzo. I’m sure all of M$U’s 5 stars were just so disgusted by those other schools that they would rather go to the bastion of morality (lol) that is M$U.
Crying Tom didn’t lose those recruits because he wouldn’t pay, he lost them because he lost the bidding war.
Yes. Heard some good things about his spring too. Not sure I understand the logic of going to MSU to play football. I understand he wants to play basketball. He most likely would have had a niche in our offense this year, and probably would be our #2 next year with Wright as #1. If Bell and Wright both leave this year (I can see Wright having a big year), kind of leaves us rather thin at proven outside receiver. Maybe he has some personal reason. Hopefully, Rice can step into the "freak" roll.
With his size and skill set, I was expecting a big year from him this year. This really sucks, and to all places MSU. It only would have been worse, if it had been IU I guess.
Was Maliq given an opportunity to play hoops at Purdue? If not, was that a Brohm or Painter decision?
When Kansas goes on probation, Josh Jackson and Apples will be a big reason why.

Yeah I don’t know. Wish there was more info to make an educated guess on that. If the reason for the transfer is to play basketball, and to a school with a basketball team of similar status, then the logical deduction is that he did NOT get the option at Purdue. I don’t imagine Brohm blocked him from playing another sport as he is allowing others to run track. Plus, I thought it was sort of part of the recruiting pitch. From Painter’s perspective, I don’t see the harm in letting the guy come over, give him a tryout, let him scrimmage with the team, size up where he stacks up against Big Ten basketball players. Or maybe that happened and the reporting is so shoddy that no one even knows that much.

And I’m guessing you don’t even see the irony in you coming over to another school’s board to tell them they’re butthurt over another school.

I’ve actually enjoyed the rivalry with MSU that’s blossomed over the last decade. Recently we flipped Swanigan which was a massive victory. They returned the favor with carr.
Nat, besides DB, does Purdue have a big 3rd down possession receiver & does this open an opp for Kory T or other tall 210 lb + receiver to emerge or will Purdue go to the Portal in hopes of getting one?
If I were making the millions (LOL), I’d convert a 6’5” athletic TE to standup WR for that exact situation. Sigh, not making millions.

Kyle Ingraham at 6'9". At the point he was becoming unstoppable, only academics derailed his future at Purdue.
I decided to look him up and he got a B.S. degree from Purdue in 2008. Props to him for getting back on track and getting the degree.

Yeah, Brohm likes to play guys like Anthrop and Thienemen. But he sure does recruit a lot of talent. Just never plays 'em...
