Painter visits PSA in AZ trying to lock down Ondigo this week? Was on 247 sports - anyone with access?
I don't know much about Ondigo other than what's previously been discussed on here. Does he seem capable of making an instant impact next season?
PSA isn't in Phoenix. Phoenix is where the kid lives.Painter visits PSA in AZ trying to lock down Ondigo this week? Was on 247 sports - anyone with access?
Here's a link summarizing his final five:

Let's get this guy, and we will be loaded up nicely for the future. Painter can work his magic with him, and prepare him for the next level. I hope recruits like this get to interact with Cardinal a bit. I would love to see Cardinal join the coaching ranks.

Cardinal would be an excellent staff addition. Will need to fill the big man void with Owens leaving. Hard player that had a long NBA career. Sign him up!
Brandon Brantley is the big man coach. Seems Purdue needs a guards/wing coach now.
Btw, Ryan Smith had left as HC at local high school Benton Central to take a job with Owens at Miami (OH) as head of basketball operations. Congrats to him on moving up quickly. Have heard Kenny Lowe may be going with Owens as well. Nice little Purdue makeup there if that's the case. Guessing they would try to become a little brother program in Fort Wayne for guys that aren't quite talented for Purdue, IU, Butler, or ND. Could build a solid program if they can do that.
Painter probably won't hire a guy that's known as a big-time recruiter if he doesn't know him very well, but it might not be a bad idea to go outside of his bubble and do just that.
Agree in organizational leadership to improve you have to go outside of the normal comfort zone. To not do so is to stay comfortably where you are at which often never allows the leap in improvement needed.
Who is your source on Smith I don't doubt it but can't confirm it .Brandon Brantley is the big man coach. Seems Purdue needs a guards/wing coach now.

Did you say zone?I feel like CMP hiring Micah Shrewsberry a few years ago was evident of him going away from his comfort zone
Can CMP even offer him, without knowing for sure what Biggie is going to do?I don't know much about Ondigo other than what's previously been discussed on here. Does he seem capable of making an instant impact next season?

Thanks for the info .Former teacher and HC at Benton Central who I now work with.
So if Ondigo commits this weekend, then...Yep....sure. Some coaches offer dozens of guys for 3 spots.
Fall back to CS staying, I am sure is SS going prep.

I don't even like comfort zones! I like them on edge...like a cat about to be tossed into water...Did you say zone?

Wow...big jump for Ryan since he has been in high school just a couple of years. Went to one of his games after a brother-in-law told me he thought Ryan did a pretty good job in what he could see in his first job
Coached high school basketball a couple if years...Clinton Prairie. Benton CentralRyne. He played 4 years for Purdue.
Coached at Anderson as well...although that was a nightmare for him from what I have heard.Coached high school basketball a couple if years...Clinton Prairie. Benton Central

"Ryne", like Ryne Sandberg

yes, forgot about Anderson. I saw him coach when he was at Prairie...first jobCoached at Anderson as well...although that was a nightmare for him from what I have heard.
Just think of all the time he has wasted chasing after Ryan Smith when if Ryan had just told us now who he was Painter, who needs to go see other coaches to learn stuff, wouldn't have wasted so much time and maybe missed out on Ryne's commitment. Dammit why don't they listen to ME!Don't just sit here and let him hire the wrong guy!
cause your wife told them not to...Just think of all the time he has wasted chasing after Ryan Smith when if Ryan had just told us now who he was Painter, who needs to go see other coaches to learn stuff, wouldn't have wasted so much time and maybe missed out on Ryne's commitment.
