From his very first decision to continue coaching Kent State instead of saving his first recruiting class at Purdue and adding to it, DH2 has made bad decisions! Hiring Shoop and then not firing him after one year continues to haunt him as does poor recruiting! What I saw today especially in the first half was a defense in position to make the play but didn't have the athlete to make the play, better players would have!

Offensively our line continues to play poorly which does not allow us to run and execute the plays called! I don't have too many problems with what we called outside a play or two but when Jones went down I believe what we intended to do today went out the window! Again we don't have the horses to make our very few weapons succeed!

We have maybe two studs on D and one is certainly no where near 100% from what I saw from Bentley in two games. Offensively one stud alone can't do it and now he is hurt and despite their experience our wideouts are barely average and more likely below average!

Another long year is ahead of us even if they beat Nevada in two weeks but then I foresee another disaterous B1G record! The end of DH2 is most probably the outcome and then MB2 will show us what he has in mind!

Until we hire a Head Coach who knows what he is doing, hires a staff that will implement it and RECRUIT players that can execute it I really don't give a rip about their GPA's just their Won Loss record!

I don't see how a team can give 100% when they have the feeling they are gonna lose every game! Gotta be a miserable feeling. Time to let Hazell go

Lets wait until we can review the tape. I'm sure we are only a couple of drops, a couple of missed assignments from competing for the B1G title.

Again, lets not be hasty. The video tape should show us what to correct for next week.

5 interceptions and a missed 28 yard field goal attempt. this team has zero talent and it was another sad performance. even the kool aid drinkers need to admit that this team is going nowhere. 1-11 and hazell is gone. next time hire someone with some kind of resume not one good year at kent state

Which he had because of Dri Archer. A 4.26 s 40-yard dash running back in the Mac who averaged 9 yards a carry.

Build that wall and make IU pay for it!

My observations from being at the game (I am not a football guy and also didnt watch the tape later!)

Blough is not accurate and it hurts us. Granted, he does make the occasional really good throw. The first pick to Posey - I was frustrated with the lack of Posey's fire to go get the ball - but in hindsight Blough put the ball where the defender has the best chance to make the play - not the receiver. Another throw - In the second half Yancey got 10 yards behind the defense and Blough led him into the sidelines instead of toward center of field. A sure touchdown on broken assignment turns into a nice play. But cmon. I could point to so many examples of missing the mark. Nuff said.

Cincy had at least 7 guys keyed on Markell. We dont adapt. Slant pattern to opposite side was there ALL DAY in one-on-one. We threw it 3 times maybe (all completions). We need some misdirection off of a fake to Jones to keep defense honest.

Seems like Cincy always had our D one-on-one in space. We were almost always in the right position, but usually a step or two behind the play. Our offense? Seems that Cincy had extra defenders on the field because somehow they always had the numbers where the ball was going.

Bentley? Sad case. 3rd and goal and he fills the inside gap perfectly. Ready to tackle ball carriers at line of scrimmage. Sad case because he currently has zero ability to move laterally. He planted, went for the tackle, and wrapped arms around air. This was the worst example, but you could see his struggles all day.

Our corners were usually in position but chasing the play. Are they taught not to look back and pick up the ball? I got tired of yelling..."Look up" as the ball grazed their shoulderpads enroute to receivers hands.

Most critical thing....players are not having fun. It is clear Coach has sucked the fun from the game. Players always want to do well...but if the game is not fun, the passion goes, and with limited talent....you get the results we see for the last three years. Danny Hope? While I did not think he was a good coach, he motivated players through his "Bunker mentatility" Everyone was out to get him and his players. Fans, AD, you name it. So at least he motivated them to play <at times> based on that weird dynamic.

Lots of truth here, I agree
