Michigan State has controlled this game pretty much from the opening tip......they look good, and if they continue, the Boilers will really need an all hands on deck effort tomorrow.

I've made my jokes with Izzo and the refs, and I realize there is plenty of animosity, but he is a helluva coach. He really gets his players to buy in and perform to their potential much more often than not.

Ok, I've hit my limit on compliments for rival institutions for awhile.

Maryland made a nice run to get back in this game......lot of solo action, though from the Terps.

The very basic strategy we undertook in our only meeting with MSU was letting Valentine get his points, but to not let him go off - and focus on the "secondary" scoring from MSU as much as possible. If I remember correctly, Davis wasn't on Valentine for much of the game.

MSU is a challenge for us inside. Costello is not some amazing talent, but he's a smart, experienced player. I think Swanigan had some issues against him (or maybe Haas).

Big key against MSU, as always, is rebounding.

It's easy to guard them from the arm chair- even Forbes, Vtine and Coletto. I bet it's a little harder out there on the court, but I am confident the Boilers can do it.
