Thank you. This is great two awards within minutes of each other. Gotcha. I once had a horse her name was butt hole boiler baby. No pun intended.

Their probably mostly males anyway... (Not that I'm saying that is wrong). Anything goes in la la land.

LOL. Say whatttttttttttt? Crap Baylor going to win and Duke only has 30 (Thrity) points at the end of the half.

Yeah, arc is right... the National Championship was the NIT winner up until the late 1950s.

Hey, fyi: a little Bruin just told me the Loosiers offered "The Hair" a 7-year $31M offer and it's a "done deal"...
(maybe like "Painter to Mizzou" was a "done deal"?)

You heard it here first, you know, because you are here obsessing on our board...

Wrong.

Wrong.

Wrong.

Think I'm pi$$ing in the wind? Nope....

but I am still waiting for TwinDegrees to weigh in on the multiple other threads where he blabbered on about how Crean would never get fired, that he had 'inside sources', and that he used to be an IU fan, not solely a RMK fan.
Here's your reply since I just saw it as I was in Indy all weekend watching games....Yep, I was wrong on this one, but as I posted to another, I stand by my prediction and by what I was told, and by who told me that Tom Crean was safe for another year. Doyle, the IU Star reporter said again this weekend that Fred Glass told him one week before, that Crean was safe and that he was under contract and would remain IU's coach. Fred Glass also stated more than once that he supported Crean.

If I had to guess, Glass didn't want to fire him, but with the uproar at the end of the season, and the humiliating loss in the NIT, Glass was told by his bosses that Crean had to go. If not, Glass is one hell of a poker player or a liar...I'll let you decide because I have my own opinion of him.

I'll also tell you that my first IU game was before Knight had even thought about the IU job, that I supported IU financially....probably more than some who claim to be IU fans for many years. I will also tell you that when they fired Knight, I decided that since Knight had hired Mike Davis, I'd give him a chance, and I did until I realized just how bad he was and how ill-prepared he was to follow a legend. Once Knight's recruits were gone, Davis was toast. I will tell you that I posted on the old Peegs that Davis was told to leave IU the day before it came out. I'm still friends with some of the players and their parents/grand-parents of that time and those players.

I was a Knight fan, but I also was a fan of any IU player or coach who moved on. Personally, I think Alford would be the home run hire for Glass....his legend still lives, and parents and grand-parents still remember and players see what he's done at Manchester, Iowa, New Mexico, and now at UCLA. Illinois just made a great hire, MSU starts four Frosh, Michigan is back, PU will be very good next year, NW is now a player.....Fred has to get this one exactly right.
.
I will also tell you that I posted Crean would never be a success at IU (he actually did a better job than I thought he'd do) based on info from my son's friend who at the time, was the program director at the Marquette station that carried their games. They weren't unhappy to see Crean leave.

Yes, I even predicted Sampson would get IU in trouble, but many did the same thing IU has made three terrible hires since Knight, and four if you include Dan Dakich who I thought should have been given a chance but wasn't.

Sometimes I'm right.... once in awhile I miss....all you have to do is look at my basketball pools, though I still have PU, Michigan, UCLA, UNC, and Butler.

I made my statement based on someone I trust who does work in the IU Athletic Office. I'll stand by what I was told. Now, enjoy your next coach, who I'll predict won't be Steve or Donovan and certainly not Brad. It very well may be the guy who looks like and acts like Tom Crean or Fred Glass might again, screw the pooch as he's done with his latest head FB coach.

And now, I ask you....there were many on the IU board...long-time posters who posted the same...that Crean was safe. Where's your questions to them? I'm done with this conversation, as it's a PU board. Let me know where to send or deliver the beer.

But...as we both agree, sometimes your predictions are off.
No "guarantee", no "done deal", but wouldn't be especially surprised if you are wrong again.
