the reason for losing to them was that "we don't match up with them well". Is that still the case?

I think the match up problems last year was DJ Wilson and Wagner. Biggie and Isaac we're a little to slow to cover them. Painter eventually put VE on Wagner in the game up there, but by that time the damage had already been done. I drove all the way up there to watch that game. Needless to say the drive home was miserable. I'm sure that these Seniors remember it well and they will be much more prepared for them this time.

Hot shooting, a more experienced team and some players like Wilson having his best game of the season and a team with all they had gone through with their plane having problems and team was on a winning streak got hot at the right time and nobody almost could not beat them. Well what does purdue have this year 6 of their top scorers are back,experience ,size length and a team that is well balanced that a lot of teams in the country. We have guard play and size in the middle we match up yes with Michigan does Michigan match well with us ask that question we’ll see. Purdue knows what it takes to win and with the experience we have and the depth of our bench I like our chances to match Michigan. Purdue will be prepared and ready to battle with a very good Michigan team

I like your post and your enthusiasm. I am very worried about this game. I do think we have matchup problems with Michigan in particular vs Wagner who has also gotten better. This will be our toughest big ten game besides MSU. It will be interesting to see how we try to neutralize Wagner, cuz I don’t think Haas can defend him, but he could force him to foul him on the offensive side. Last year it was with V Edwards, but do we want to go small? I think haarms can defend him.

A lot of teams can say they can go up against anyone, but purdue also has some glaring weaknesses. We will always be limited by our insistence on playing man and not being able to adjust based on the opposing team. Also, quick athletic guards give us problems. No way we could beat that same Kansas team from the tourney this year if we played best of 7.

Well I’m not worried you giving Wagner way to much props he rather stay at the 3 point line to shoot rather than rebound of play inside. I’ve watched him a lot this season Matt harms can guard him with no problems if Haas has trouble only if Wagner decides to only shoot 3s. Listen this team isn’t same team as last year got some talented players but the duo of Wagner and Wilson is what caused purdue problems I don’t see it this year with this roster. Remember Michigan has to guard Haas to who will it be not Wagner bcuz their coach knows he can not afford to get Wagner in foul trouble can’t put Robinson on him either so while you worried about Wagner they worried about Haas and harms. What I’m saying is this team yes has its flaws so does Michigan and they gotta defend us as well like we have to defend them too. Wagner is a talented player but you making it seems as though he can’t be guarded he can and will. Caleb wasson dis a pretty good job on nick ward last night Haas hasn’t forgotten what happen last year he will be ready for that challenge. We got a really good well balanced team that Michigan has to battle with tomorrow and I’m confident in this team they be ready to step up to the challenge and be ready to tangle with Michigan. I’ll be there cheering them on too
