Maybe he wanted to go closer to home?55% of transfers don’t land a spot. Not quite a Big Ten school. Wonder if he will sit back and think….”what if I had stay” someday?
Yes. We had guys drafted last year and will have guys drafted this year. PLEASE STFUA lot of players in the MAC still get drafted into the NFL. Anybody from Purdue get drafted this year? I doubt he has any regrets.

14 purdue players since 2000. 3 from miami of ohio. Purdue degree is also a plus. Lastly, im not implying miami oh did anything wrong but tamperimg during the season is becoming a problem with the transfer rule and nil stuff. Its adding to the chaos. Walters was cooked after the nd game...thats a long time to have guys wondering who their next coach will be while potentially being recruited by a staff they know will be there. I dont know if bobinski considered this problem while letting walters stay or if it would have mattered at all but waiting to talk to players you want to keep until the season is over may not be the best move.A lot of players in the MAC still get drafted into the NFL. Bobo allowed Ryan to paint him into a corner by Ryan being the only "Qualified " person to run the program after Harrell was fired... If things weren't bad enough, they would have gotten worse if Ryan had been fired after the ND game.14 purdue players since 2000. 3 from miami of ohio. Purdue degree is also a plus. Tracy in the 5th round by the Giants, Kane by the Ravens in the 7th round.A lot of players in the MAC still get drafted into the NFL. Anybody from Purdue get drafted this year? I doubt he has any regrets.
Wasnt suggesting letting him go that early but the bye week he could have and maybe should have.Bobo allowed Ryan to paint him into a corner by Ryan being the only "Qualified " person to run the program after Harrell was fired... Ryan made sure that he was the only Alpha coach, and it really cost him big time in several ways.....
He was a dead man walking anyhow.Bobo allowed Ryan to paint him into a corner by Ryan being the only "Qualified " person to run the program after Harrell was fired... If things weren't bad enough, they would have gotten worse if Ryan had been fired after the ND game.

I remember that, what a d-bag. Good riddance.Lost respect for him when he faked out giving a kid his gloves after a blowout loss that he didn't play in, maybe ND. See ya later.
Agreed. As a team, they looked good in pads...He was a dead man walking anyhow.
The offense wasn’t better under Walters except the one week where he exploited his old team and scheme. The rest of it was pretty disjointed and not any better or worse than when Harrell was here (not that that was good).
He did the only thing he knew how to do…try and take control.
The biggest thing the team lacked was discipline, effort and accountability. All established by the staff. If there’s no work ethic there’s no drive to execute or get better in practice. If you’re not getting better in practice the game play suffers.
I’m still convinced there was talent to win here but the staff did nothing to develop or put them in a place to have success. Couple that with bad play calling, bad schemes and bad coaching….you get an absolute dumpster fire.
Literally the only thing I think we can say was good was the punting?
