Koenig out tonight for Wisconsin at Michigan per Jeff Goodman on twitter

Michigan 2 point favorites at home. And to think the RPI doesn't even take home court into consideration. And I think 2 points might even be a bit generous toward Bucky, especially if Koening is out. It's been awhile since they looked truly impressive.

As strange as this season has been, I would probably bet UW straight up to win tonight. They are due to play well.

Michigan has played a couple games where they have shot very well from 3. If they come out against Wisconsin hitting shots I don't see how Wisc can keep up with them especially with their clutch 3 point guy out for the game. Wisconsin is really struggling offensively and Michigan may be coming at the right time as far as a perceived weaker defense. If Wisconsin settles for 3's or tries to keep pace that way I could see a big point spread in this one. They've got to slow the game down and get it inside, picking up fouls and killing the clock while keeping the score in the 60's or lower.

I don't find Whisky to be that great of a team and am really not overall impressed with their season. Their losses have all come to the top half of the league or the better part of their schedule. Their best win might be Syracuse, Tennessee, or at Minnesota. They have actually only scored over 70 in conference 5 times this season.

I think they are limited offensively BUT a very strong defensive team at times. They are able to simply hang with a team and wear them out. Essentially this years Whisky team is what Gene Keady had in the mid to late 90's. Some talented players but ones that just put the other team through the grinder and were happy to win in the 60's.

It's a team that can easily be beaten by an opponent who isn't strongly one dimensional...much like Purdue, who can go inside and outside depending on what is working that game or that moment (Haas and Biggie combined for 31 and 18).
