We played 9 top 25 offenses and still play

The defense is not great, but if you step back and look at a dual top 25 offense/defense like Illinois, did anything they show make it look hard to score for us both on road and at home. The road game was Trevian missing numerous bunnies and FT early.
The defense needs to improve, but the margins from being ranked say 60 to 125 is like 2 or 3 stops. Ohio State is right next to us in metrics and played 2 top 25 ken pom offenses. They beat Duke and of course lost at Mackey.
I don't mind beating Maryland 87-62 instead of 64-39 and having great metrics and no Final 4 run
