Averaged 19 and 7 for a State Title winning team, seems like a really good preferred Walk On for Purdue. I wonder if he’ll get the unused scholarship this upcoming season? At 6-8 I would have to think he got offers from smaller schools, any chance this is what happens? Also, I forgot that Purdue has Jimmy Rayl’s grandson coming in as well.

Would guess the unused scholarship goes to the most senior PWO, but not sure how that works.

I think Josh is more like 6'5" or 6'6" - he plays hard and is solid the post, more athletic than guys his size in HS but don't think his game translates to college well at his size.

Thanks, I saw 6-7, I realize those things aren’t always accurate lol. Of the Walk Ons he’s by far the most intriguing I suppose. I mean is it possible that all 4 get a piece of it with partials?

Is Cardinal's son coming here? Who is Rayl's G'son?
Kid named Jace Rayl, grandson of Kokomo legend Jimmy Rayl. He averaged 2 points a game for Kokomo last year, he won’t get any time but he’s listed on the team.

Unreal that this kid can take a space on the team.
Just a Walk On, guessing Painter is close to someone in the family. He made academic All State, probably a great kid, I got no problem with it really. Who knows, maybe he helps land Flory lol

He is, but that kid had a much better high school resume on the basketball court. I’m sure there are much better players that would like the opportunity to walk on than Rayl.
There are underlying strategies regarding PWOs. 25 years ago, a player from FW was a PWO. He was decent, but nothing special ... but his dad was the #1 mover and shaker in AAU in the FW area. I don't recall if that worked out or not, but the dad was a big promoter of the Boilers for several years.
