Is it true that Spack once presented binders full of exactly what he would do with the Purdue program? folks here may never be sold on him, but I'd love to see those binders

Screw Joe Tiller. Never forget him speaking at an alumni gathering before the Citrus Bowl saying he didn't care if they won bowl games or not because the trip and party was just the reward for a good season and he wasn't going to ruin the party with too much preparation. He had it figured out. Go 6-5, win a few Sun Bowls and ride Drew Brees coat tails while coasting to retirement. The erosion of this program began on his watch. He wouldn't have done any better than Hope. He was lucky ND and the Big 10 was down during his tenure. He blames everyone but himself. He just needs to shut up and go away.

First off the way Tiller's defenses played it took a lot to win no doubt. Some of the worst defenses ever especially after Brees.

Morgan Burke was definitely one feature Purdue football contended with long enough. The guy did a one stop shop glue sticks football stadium operation. We needed a stadium the campus could be proud of YEARS ago. All Purdue fans ask is don't embarrass our school on national TV. It's not like we're Alabama asking for a national title every year. Just don't put a team out there that gets their face slapped and pushed around like a geek faced nerd every week. If you can't even half asz this then don't put a team out there at all. Hazell was 1 tenth of a half a half azz. He won less than than 1 half of 1 tenth of that as a percentage of home big ten wins.

Purdue alumni are damn sick and tired of watching the school get embarrassed every damn week. People need fired. Either they perform or the administrators are fired. It's not just about firing the coach. All these administrators need fired along with them. And I am tired of Tiller's excuses, I am tired of the current groups excuses. All of these excuses. It's not like we're asking for a time machine here or a cure for cancer. We're just asking for a damn football team that doesn't have a black eye every week and broken nerd glasses every week coming home crying to mama like some idiot. Put a proud team out there of motivated players or don't put one out there at all.

Much of this is on administrators with their cheep idiot crap. This isn't as simple as getting a coach it's also getting administration that knows what the he'll they're doing, which this administration is a fool faced idiot.

Tiller caught lightening in a bottle with Drew Brees. If Brees doesn't turn out to be "all world" then Tiller is just another coach.

I also blame Tiller for mailing in his last few years which started this whole train wreck.

I think his heart just wasn't in it after continuously getting screwed over with the administration not ponying up the money. However, the guy isn't going to be happy until Spack is named the coach :/ ugh.

Tiller's first team went 9-3 with Brees playing a few snaps that season, which proved the system itself was a star on its own even before they found the perfect QB for it.

Count me in on being tired. of your bull shit. Remember your the dumb shit that posted if you played Purdue wouldn`t lost all those games. Dumb,Dumb Foolmeoncedumbfan

Tiller was a hero because of the Rose Bowl. Brees took us there.

Tiller brought new concept to Big 10 and it took teams some time to catch up. He has to receive credit for that.

He mailed in his last few years and started this downward spiral to not being able to get an interview for a coach. Of course it's not his fault, but he did Hope no favors in leaving him a strong program.

Burke was an idiot he made things worse.

Yes Brock took his binders with him for his "interview" with Morgan. Morgan was not interested.

Oh please. If I was on the team they wouldn't be stupid sniveling last place for 4 straight years coming back to mommy. Purdue's line couldn't run a lap around the stadium looking like they haven't done a sit-up in 10 years. When the drum squad is more athletic than the football players it's a problem. And so are fans that think it's not that encourage and coddle this nonsense.

Purdue hands down has the worst football stadium in the league. Worse than IU. Worse than a lot of Mac schools. Horrible. It needed fixed and Morgan made a mockery out of it with the endzone still looking like a mess. All these slap jawed foolish idiot administrators that did nothing but make a mockery out of this school need fired. If the coach needs fired so do they.

Erosion on his watch???? I've was at Purdue during colletto era??? Your nuts... I was thrilled during his era... get a grip..

Yeah, I think people often forget that Tiller's turn around began with Billy Dicken at the helm.

Remember the Bernard Pollard blow up during practice? How about Tiller dissing the recruit (that he yanked the scholarship from) on the radio show and then being confronted by the father of said recruit on the radio show?

Oh no doubt. Tiller wasn't no saint. He did a lot of insane things out there. Remember that one guy who came in at QB. Was incredible. Beat Michigan down like they was his loser. Was it Tiller or that foolish mustache that after Michigan tossed him out like trash. Neither of Purdue's coaches could evaluate said talent on the team AT All. Brees was the real coach not Tiller. We're we coached by Tiller or was it Brees?

It's about education, facilities, commitment, television, winning. That's how you recruit. Then after recruiting knowing why a player was recruited and evaluating talent on team athletically. Athlete is a term Purdue needs to understand. Purdue administrators are responsible for not eatablishing a vision for the college or athletics. No vision. No direction. No aim. No purpose. Except to make ESPN laugh on national TV.

Justin Siller was absolutely terrible at qb other than the Michigan game.

I don't think he ever got a shot. All I know is the rest of that year smelled. It's time to just alpha male Purdue all the way around. Purdue is a beta male football team filled with inferior athletes on the football field. Fatso belly out of shape slow lineman get shoved around and owned. The first thing a new coach needs to do is watch as much film gathering Intel on every team in the big ten and evaluating the talent level at all positions step one. And recruiting on the basis of matching each position including the backups.

If I could sum up Hazell's football teams I would say they were nothing but a bunch of beta males in britches. What does it mean when a college is so much worse than all the other teams in the league at something? Not just on field but all aspects from facilities to any and all metrics. Look for motivated players first and foremost. They've got to be motivated even if they aren't top tier. Get winners out there and if they're anything close to D1 raw material a good coach can mold them into a championship quality team after a few years.

Well I darn sure don't want any fool-faced idiots or geek-faced nerds around!

Purdue needs a clean slate. One home win in 4 years. One home big ten win IN FOUR YEARS. Put that into focus for a moment. Let me repeat that again. ONE BIG TEN WIN IN FOUR YEARS. THAT IS A DISASTER OF EPIC PROPORTIONS. That is epic loser level.
