Evan Turner is a great comp for Singleton. I can't help but think Collins stole one right out from under our noses.

I don’t believe that Collins “stole one right out from under our noses.”

Purdue heavily recruited Singleton, and the talk was that Purdue was his first or second choice at one time.

It is my understanding that Singleton wanted guaranteed playing time/starter status, and that is obviously not CMP‘s MO. Painter is consistent in his messaging that playing time must be earned. This is also supposedly why Kannon Catchings decommitted, as Catchings and his family felt like he could get to the league sooner by being a day one starter. (Of course, Catchings is now in the portal after seeing his playing time significantly decrease during the course of the season at BYU and being recruited over.)
