Why didn’t law enforcement stop the blacks from burning and looting cities during the George Floyd peaceful protests?
What was he supposed to do? Go down to the capitol and tell people to behave? Maybe he should have told the capitol cops to quit escorting people into the capitol building and providing a guided tour?
We have a different definition of 'tuned up'. I'm surprised that you, being from the region, didn't know this as it's a common phrase used in the Chicago police circles.

Yet very old, gullible people like TwinDegrees and his kind on this site, people that ostensibly want to do the right thing, naively believe that this misinformation has some semblance of truth. They believe it over sworn testimony from subject matter experts, from dedicated public servants, from law enforcement and national security non-partisans. They believe it because the people that are good at disinformation know how to appeal to them, how to throw in nuggets of real amongst the pile of manure, and because they have been mind-f'd by Trump and his like for about ten years now.
So while it's understandable that naïve people believe what they want to believe, it's incredibly awful, and incredibly dangerous.

Law enforcement were completely outnumbered. Once the breech happened, the cops aren't going to arrest people. Are you freaking insane? They were trying to deescalate the situation. Just talk to people and try to get them to leave. The traitors were gonna be caught anyway thanks to all the security cameras.

Yeah they would have been shot if the Jan 6 deplorables were black. That's what I've been saying from the get go. Picture in your mind. 2,000 black folks beating the police all at once with sticks, pepper spray, bear spray, turn styles, barriers, batons, guards, etc. The police officer that was chased up the stairs inside the Capitol should have been justified to open fire.

So much to be confused by in your post:
- Were you good with over 10,000 arrests from those summer of 2020 riots?
- If not, how many more arrests should there have been (I'm seeing approximately 14,000)? What is your basis for stating that more than the 14,000 that were arrested should have been?
- Are you saying that only federal arrests count?
- Are you aware that all arrests on the Capitol grounds needed to be federal, even the no-jail misdemeanors, but that the summer of 2020 rioters largely did not commit federal crimes?
- Are you saying that rioters in places like Seattle, should have been charged with federal crimes that would have been thrown out of court for lack of jurisdiction, versus the state statute charges which produced convictions?

I'm quite simply saying I don't care after what was allowed to go on for months whether people were arrested and then immediately released. It really is that simple. It should have been nipped in the bud.

Maybe so. If I'm an armed cop being threatened by or seeing officers being bear sprayed and beaten with metal poles, there is absolutely justification to use deadly force.
Look what happens to someone who jumps the fence at the White House. The Secret Service shoot first and ask questions later.
