IU's Next BB Coach is

I would be concerned if somehow they could convince Brad Stevens to leave the Celtics but I do not believe he will. I personally am torn between two names but will post my opinion after a little more research.

I'm watching Clemson tonight and have to say I love the way that team plays. Very Purdue-like.
He’s an Indiana boy (Evansville) and a good coach who gets the most out of his players and team! I actually think he could be successful there so really don’t want them to figure out he could likely change their trajectory.

You get one shot at calling it and only one opinion! Go.
Just watched an interesting podcast with Crimson cast a guy named Galen Clavio made a compelling argument that the one college coach that meets all their criteria is Matt Painter. He said they could double his salary to $10 mill and show him all their NIL $$ he might seriously look at it. I know for a fact he grew a Hoosier die hard.

Never say never, but I couldn't image CMP leaving Purdue for another school. I have to BELIEVE that Purdue will grow Matt's compensation with continued progrsm success.

Never met the guy on person, but he strikes me the kind of guy who is humble with his measly salary. Guessing he is a no-car payment / no house-payment kind of guy.

He is probably the most underpaid coach in NCAA in relation to his accomplishments

We all know that he grew up an Indinia fan. That all changed.

My assumption that had to do with RMK more than IU. Many IU fans would not want that same type of leadership today and some would say CMP is just meh.

IU does not deserve a coach like CMP. They deserve to "stick-in-the-mud" like they have the last 25ish years.

Purdue will continue to grow, get better, and win. That's our culture under CMP.

Hopefully Painter can change Sisley’s mind in coming to join our team next year family loves Matt painter.

It’s my speculation, but from what I’ve read, seen, and heard, if Mike Woodson had been retained by Indiana for a fifth year, there would’ve been a significant chance that Trent Sisley could have flipped to Purdue. Now that Woodson is a goner? He’s more committed to Indiana than ever.

It seems that IU fans still consider IU an elite basketball school and that coaches all over the country (such as Bred Stevens) are falling all over each other to get this job. They don't seem to realize that ship sailed years ago and they have tried multiple coaches and many millions of dollars buying out contracts in hopes of finding the next Bob Knight. Maybe they will now think of themselves as an elite football school.

If one looks at historical performance? Then IU is elite in basketball but nowhere near that in football.

But if you look at current performance? Then IU is elite in footba..... ----- well; you get the dilemma!

;)

When you have Top 5 NIL money, one of the largest and best fan bases in the nation, a Top 5 venue, Big Ten money, national TV time... Yea it's still a Top 10 job.

Why the constant struggles to get a good coach?
How many coaches said no before you landed on Woodson?

Definitely your opinion that they’re a top 5 venue and best fan base. How do we know they have top 5 NIL money? I think you’d be surprised at how much money schools have and I wouldn’t be surprised if IU doesnt have top 10
