iu week. First off.......

The delusion and myopia in that huge Purdue thread is hysterical!

Page after page page of fiction about the Purdue-Indinia rivalry — an echo chamber of stupid.
I love how Courty keeps dropping the same lie about IU selling out Ass Hall since the '70s and there being a waitlist. Does their capacity change every year?

Attendance by year:

2023-24 16,468
2022-23 16,101
2021-22 15,845

Maybe, but it hasn’t happened yet. IU is keeping 10 of the 11 assistants from this year, including both coordinators.

You’re absolutely correct that recruiting hasn’t happened yet at the level of SEC schools, but the portal additions are about as high end as it gets for the coming year.

By the way, if Indiana football could do as well as Tiller did at Purdue that would be pretty damn excellent for IU.
I’d add that Tiller would have done much better, much longer, had he had university support.

He also said that Cupps makes as much as Braden and that Leal makes more. He’s such an idiot.

I’ll be shocked if Woodson is back next season. I would think that TJ Otzelberger would be on their radar.
Otz ain’t leaving Iowa state. Just got a recent extension and I’m guessing it’ll be extended even more after this year. Wife played there, is from Iowa, has family there and loves it there. On top of that he’s built that program into a contender every year, so I am very doubtful he leaves for a downgrade.

That would be a huge coup for IU and the type of guy they need. Agree that other than the Brinks truck, I’m not sure where the upside is in leaving to IU. Having said that, seems like a more realistic target than the typical IU delusion list.

I've heard that Brad Stevens has literally begged to be the head coach. Well, he has in the past.

He is actually begging to be the coach at IU. He is willing to even take a pay cut and not be the GM of one of the most recognized franchises in the world/history of basketball.

It’s heavily known he can’t wait to get back on the road and pound on doors for 15-18 year old kids, deal with their parents and go to aau tourneys all just to lose a recruit to Duke or UK.

I have no idea, honestly, but just think that he is one of the best up and coming coaches in the game.

Not just a pay cut; Brad will actually pay iu to let him coach there. That’s how bad he wants this. He will literally go into debt to coach their team. Iu fans have told me that the only reason he didn’t come last time was because his wife vetoed it. Well, he’s ready to divorce her at a moments notice if the job comes open again. Who needs family when you have iu basketball?!

Got be a 3x5 pix of him in dictionary next to the adjective insufferable.
What a pathetic existence.
Why is Cupps insufferable? Is it because the only reason people heard his name because he played with Bronny Jr? Don’t hate someone who leveraged proximity to stardom

So looking ahead to IU, they have really struggled to shoot the ball this year. The one way that they could potentially make it interesting is if guys who normally don’t shoot well completely get in a nothing to lose mentality and start hitting shots that they normally don’t make. I want to see Purdue step on the accelerator early and put the game out of reach much like they did against Michigan. I don’t see this IU team as having much fight if Purdue doesn’t let them hang around.

Weird thing is that they still appear to have a lot of talent on the roster. Coaching matters.

This is going to be their National Title game so I expect their best and if we come out like we did against UM, then we very well should curb stomp them.
