IU showing their dominance

It'd be a hell of a day if Purdue wins, IU, ND, and Wisconsin all lose. The only thing better would be if it was in basketball and Purdue got to beat IU.

Nonetheless, still the 4th quarter to go. C'mon Vandals!

Well, until the B1G refs blew yet another call and bailed them out...generating nearly as much scoring as Indinia had on their own.
How that wasn't roughing the kicker is beyond me. Hopefully at some point, Purdue will get the kind of breaks IU has been getting from the officials...

Sorry to ruin your party.
Did not ruin anything...it was comical regardless...more comical that you are celebrating that debacle.

Only thing that will ever ruin anything is when Tom Allen is ultimately let go...until then, it will continue to be the gift that just keeps giving.

IU’s defense looks legit enough to me, and its QB has an elite-level arm. His accuracy isn’t great, but I imagine it will improve over the course of the season. This isn’t last year’s IU team.

Celebrating? That's a reach.

When the ball hit the ground, the punter lost all protection. Running into and roughing the punter cannot (should not) be called. The same is true if the punter leaves the tackle box.

However, unnecessary roughness could be called in this case if appropriate.

The Zebras screwed up - they should have picked up the flag.

Like ISU, Idaho is a meaningless game from which to judge anything. So far, IU has won only one "real" game (Illinois.) WKy is a step up from Idaho, though well below B1G caliber of competition, and it will be interesting to see how IU handles that game. Cincinnati is a larger step up from WKy and on the road. I see an IU loss there.

Is Illinois for real this year? I am not sure that they are so I do not know how to interpret that win. To make a bowl game, IU needs to win 4 of WKy, @ Neb, MD and Purdue UNLESS they upset one of the Michigans, PSU or OSU. I do not see an upset at this point so IU has to run the table against the four. I consider this unlikely.

Allen is on the Hot Seat (#27.) A loss to WKy makes a 4-8 or worse season very probable, though I doubt Allen gets fired this year. To save his job, he must make a bowl (and win it?) next year.

It's difficult to judge the quality of competition two games into the season but what we have seen so far suggests that Illinois is a good team and that Idaho is not a cupcake.

For the Illini to completely shut down a Virginia team with an experienced, high level QB is impressive. As for Idaho, it lost its first game by 7 on the road to Washington St. which as we all know, just went into Madison and came out with a win.

Got it. So a snap that the punter drops, picks up, and punts cleanly should open him up to injury. Makes a lot of sense...

Never said that, if you read again, I said it could be an unnecessary roughness penalty (and I'll add - or a personal foul), but it is NOT a roughing or running into the kicker penalty. It may not make sense, but IT IS the rule.

His buyout is crazy, one of highest in CFB. He has a 100% buyout until 11/30/2024. If he’s fired after this season it would be $25m+. So we likely get him 3 more times.

I thought the same.
