Galloway gets a steal, shot clock correctly resets on the change of possession. He dribbles the ball out of bounds with 1:41 remaining. Shot clock briefly correctly resets to 30 but before Illinois inbounded the ball, the shot clock switched to 17 seconds. Nobody on the floor noticed it, and as a result Illinois had to force up a wild shot from outside and got a shot clock violation. How in the hell did no referees or Illini coaches notice that? They basically had a possession shortened by 13 seconds and essentially lost a possession late in a close game. That could have cost Illinois the game.
