I'd rather be IU than Purdue right now

I'd honestly rather be playing IU style of football where it's a total shoot out, where we can score a boat load of points but can't stop anyone. Than to watch us consistently go three and out. It's just painful to watch.

Careful how you say that. I wouldn't be able to live with myself wearing those colors.

This is my biggest gripe about this team. Smaller and less talented teams than Purdue seem to have no issues putting together high powered offenses that give their less talented and sometimes terrible defenses chances to win games.

Why can't we replicate that here in the cradle of QBs?

Why do we have an "offensive genius" as our OC...who the only thing diabolical that he does is make the offense so complex to run yet so uncomplicated to stop?

If the offense could do anything but generate consistent 3 and outs, this team and this defense would look light years better. It looks like we will continue down this path though until Hazell is forced out of town. Sad, as with a decent offense he could have kept his job at least 1 more year.

Sorry as bad as football is or may get, I would never want to be IU. If anything, this setback is temporary for Purdue.

But your post is just one more example in how far the football program has fallen.

The sad thing is, if Hazell would just get rid of Shoop and get a good OC, he probably could turn things around by next season. But since he seems unwilling to make the hard decisions, then the result is that the whole staff will suffer and eventually be gone.

If he doesn't get rid of Shoop in the next few weeks, he won't be around at the end of the year to fire him and pick a new OC

Yes IU 3 0! Would be thrilled if DH wins 3 games all year!!! How recruiting going????

IU has played a total cupcake schedule so far, at home no less, and beat FBS Southern Illinois (48-47) - they went for two and threw an incompletion, Florida International (36-22), and Western Kentucky (38-35). IU is 121st out of 127 teams in total defense (544 ypg) and 109th in defensive points allowed (34.7).

IU will come down to earth shortly.
