They are a football conference not basketball. I didn't even know that South Carolina had a basketball team till this season:) Kentucky is always going to be around and Florida has proven to be a school that does well in March. Just seems weird.

Sc has a great coach and has mixed players that fit his defense minded system with a top 40 guy or two for scoring.. ......no surprise there if you saw them early in the year.

SC has built a pretty strong team with solid recruiting and coaching. Living near Gator country, the success of Florida irks me. They are a football school, they aren't supposed to be good in basketball too.

Because the gators are the luckiest school in history. Every year in ncaa tourney they avoud the top seeds. They always get the teams that upset the top teams and then those teams play closer to their actual level when they play florida. Its a joke. Then they get a hail mary to win even more fitting of their luck

Yes, if Purdue was in that region they would advance to the Final Four. So, how long do you think the coach will be at SC before a better program gets him?

Frank Martin left KSU and went to SC... Not like he's a no name coach. Just like Anderson at Arkansas (from Mizzou). SEC has some solid and underrated coaches there now.

Haha, so if you're good in football, you can't be good in basketball? That makes zero sense.

Florida has two titles in the last decade and has at least 3 Final Four appearances since 2000, with a real possibility of going this year.

I've never understood the old school thought of basketball school only or football school only. Florida has turned that theory upside down.

SEC....also known as "Somewhere Everyone Cheats".
