How Long Until Sisley De-Commits?

I'm guessing Painter told him he would like to develop him to be like Robbie Hummel. IU can show him the path of Galloway and say, "This could be you!"
He knew what Purdue and iu were when he committed. Iu has been garbage for a while, and Purdue has been a top team for a while. He made his bed, now he can lie in it.
So he will be a part of a rebuild for a few years and he’s good with that, yeah?
Depends what coach is brought in. Kelsey has done pretty well in year 1 with a 100% new team. May is doing well in year 1. Pope is absolutely killing it with a 100% new team. Beard took two years but it's also Ole Miss. It all just depends on the next guy. I don't consider Sisley to be a guy that'll be an impact player year 1 to begin with.
I was at the game and there was nothing better to hear than the Fire Woodson chants from the student section. Cheerleaders tried to drown them out but it didn't work.
Obviously at this point, if you have a chance to come to Purdue and you'd rather go play for Woodson at IU, I'd say #1, you're not very intelligent and #2 you're likely not a Purdue type guy anyway.

Sure. New coaches can bring success in basketball a lot easier than in football. IU is doing something wrong in their basketball coaching search though because it's been awhile since they've gotten a good one.
The names and faces have changed, but the story remains the same.
IU has no choice. They have to replace Woody. I always felt he was a class act who represented the university well. It's a shame that his legacy will be that the finacial and other support he received was the envy of any other program, but he failed so badly the fans were literally screaming for him to be fired.

Well Glass went behind everyone's back and hired Archie. Buckner wanted Woodson then. Then if course Archie is fired and it hire Woodson. Then it's Woody gets 4 years because Archie did. Unfortunately, morons have ran the program into the ground. Crean was okay. Probably could have succeeded at IU with NIL. Sampson was problematic at the time... On things that are of course legal now. Sampson would have absolutely killed it at IU. Who runs the show is incredibly important. But they've really screwed the pooch the last two times.
He's an arrogant, egotistical a-hole. Dude believes he's above all. Great player, absolutely awful and worthless coach.
Kids don't know him as a legendary player. They just know him as a coach.
Even with the bad play, watching IU would be sooooooo much better without the cheerleader's lame cheers droning on through the game. There is not another team that makes you feel you are in the middle of a high school cheerblock and even then they have more meaningful cheers than what goes on in the IU home games. I just don't hear that in other gyms. So if there is consideration in removing Woodson, follow that up with the head of the cheerleaders as well to improve the game...particularly if the team is playing poorly.
I agree that Sampson is a very good coach and might have been exceptional at Indiana. The cell phone stuff looks like small potatoes now--though it's still hard to believe he got caught twice at two different schools. But, you're right, things might look very different now had he stayed and ssucceeded.
Crean did alright given what he had to start with. I think he would have kept Indiana competitive--maybe not a return to the Bob Knight heyday, but at least competitive.

Odds on the former as Hummel was so so special.
All Indiana had to do was give the NCAA a middle finger like UNC and Kansas did. Instead, the school was full and willing to throw themselves into the abyss. And Dakich has said it before, the administration was fully set of pushing down the basketball program.

We did have a pimp. I'm assuming DeAndre Thomas. Can't convince me otherwise. And a drug dealer. Not sure which that one was. Would have had another but he was busted while in high school and that ruined his career. Bud Mackey. Busted dealing cocaine in Kentucky.
My daughter and son-in-law were Boiler cheerleaders. They were there with G-Rob ... they have often talked about how to build optimism, confidence. How important it is to the team. Both have gone on to have strong leadership positions.
How long have they changed coaches every 4-5 years (and counting) now? How they can recruit anything above a 3 star is beyond me.
I think Sisley sticks with IU, he knew what he was getting into, but a recruit would have to be an idiot to bet on IU getting this turned around quickly given their track record.
