All games are important, obviously, but should Purdue go into Marquette and pull out a win, only strengthens the foundation being built by Painter and team. It raises the stakes, mefua hype, eyes, etc. for the approaching games in Dec (e.g., #4 Aub). No diss to the B10 games between now and then.

Stay in the top 5 with a chance to move to #1 in coming weeks only fuels recruiting and funding.

Make Purdue Great Again!!

it is the first away game that counts, but so far these freshmen seem to be warriors!

Yes, that is true, but dome are more equally important. :)

A road win against acranked opponent builds the confidence this youngvteam to win in Dec against #4 AUB. If this team can continue to win as it builds the needed chemistry and fluidity to perform at that next level.

Beating 2 top 20 teams in back to back games is noteworthy anytime. Marquette is favored by 2.5-3.0 points so close to a toss up. They still has good guards and they beat Maryland on the road. These have been great games in the past several years. Hopefully, Purdue continues to find that rebounding edge like they did in the 2nd half of the Alabama game and limit turnovers.

I did see Duke/KY played (tuned in to see Gillis) but generally I've not followed any of the other top 10 teams, are they also playing multiple ranked opponents?

I applaud Purdue's approach to home/home games with select teams that promotes strong competition, insight, and reward.

Line has quickly moved up. Marquette -5.5 this morning on my site. I'm fairly surprised really. I expected it to be no more than 2 either way.

Alabama has a murderer's row of a schedule. I don't hesitate to say it's more difficult than Purdue's (they did have to play in Mackey, after all)

Duke, Auburn, and Texas A&M, have tough schedules. It doesn't look like many in the top15 are being shy about their schedule with most of them getting a couple good games. Even Iowa St is playing 4 teams above the 200s is Barttorvik ranking

It is to be commended. After two or three years of getting curb stomped by highly ranked teams Mike Woodson decided enough was enough and went to more teams ranked over 300 to fill in his November schedule. This IU fan was not and is not happy about that.
