How Can a Boiler Not Like Dakich?

He called for an upset alert like two minutes into the game. Then quickly retracted when we started shredding them. I think he is a very good commentator but he has struggled to be objective with his son playing on a title contender

He's a product of the school that gave the world Jim Jones, Emily Harris, Tim Durham and Jared Fogle -- what's not to like?

Quit being such fish. His mission is to piss off the fanbase that fired his chair-throwing mentor.

Besides, when one of the iu interns at ESPN trips on the plug and cuts off the whole telecast while the national audience misses minutes of game action, the Purdue Radio Network lives on.

For as many great things he says about Purdue and says they are a national title contender. He still says MSU will be national champs. They won't win the B1G title let alone the national title. That is one of the most irritating things to me.

MSU could easily not win the B1G title and still win the national title.

Dakich is ok in my book. He talks a lot, is a blow hard at times and gives his opinion a little too often. He grew up in the Region and will always be a blue collar guy. He probably is no rocket scientist, but he has found a niche and is making a good living. He knows basketball. He likes Painter and gives Purdue some much needed praise every time he calls our game. All in all, he helps the Purdue program have a better image when he calls our games. He is a younger version of Dick Vitale who is not exactly objective and plays favorites as well.

I don’t dislike Dakich, but 4 games in a row is making my ears hurt...

That's his secret strategy -- make fence-sitter fans get sick of us.

But he does love to reinforce the negative -- "I just can't understand why five-stars never want to go to Purdue."

At least Vitale used to rant for everyone -- "Zo's in a zone! Zo's in a zone! Zo's in a zone!" -- before he devolved into what Al McGuire always called Billy Packer -- "ACC crazy."

Who went to IU has nothing to do with Dakich, and if you listen to him he's pretty fair. I'm not a DD fan (well...I am but it's a different DD), and that mentor of his you speak of has no conversation with Dakich today. IU and PU both have great schools, and folks come out of both with great educations....just as with all B10 schools.

My god, I can only imagine what fun some of you must be at a party worrying that some IU grad climbed in the window and pissed in the punch bowl... lol.

DD is ok and very knowledgeable...... BUT needs to learn fans of playing teams do not want to hear over and over about players on other teams. Whether it is KBD or TY.... say something once in passing fine.....but over and over and over.. . #brokenrecord

Having emerged from behind the Red Curtain that is Indianapolis, I can bear witness that any good Boilermaker has ample reason to be wary of any loosiers who appear bearing gifts.
Give me a break.........He and Painter are good friends......hence all the kudos for us......

>>>>and your a total "DOUCHE" ...........most don't take him that way............those with ant BB IQ's

You should take his cock out of your mouth. Jesus, it looks like you typed that out using the tip of his pencil dick.

I live and grew up in Bloomington, so basically everyone I know is an IU fan. THEY ALL HATE HIM. Every. Single. One. I'm talking like road-rage level hate. You should see my facebook feed whenever he calls an IU game, it's absolutely hilarious.

That's reason enough for me for me to like him. Yes, he has his annoying qualities but so does every other color guy... certainly better than Bilas or Vitale. Bilas is the worst imo.

His may be the most effusively Pro-Purdue comments that I have ever heard on any game...

I don't necessarily dislike his "content" - I dislike that he can't stop talking. He just talks and talks and talks - he's a know it all.
