It is unbelievable that Karlaftis hasn't drawn a penalty this season. It is happening nearly every play. In fact, I am having a hard time remembering ANY holding penalties in the first five games. Especially at the line of scrimmage - it seems like anything goes. And if there is a flag you probably won't see one for the rest of the game.

So then I look at this in terms of our own OL struggles. Are our players taking every advantage they can get within the enforcement of the rules? If the speed limit is 35 and everyone is driving 40, then drive 40. Don't get left behind.

I remember an opponent last year that was so obviously wearing gloves to match our jersey tops. But it was hard to see their hands grabbing jersey - like it or not, it was effective.

There have been a few called in our favor, but none for George. There was a really good shot of a Minny OL with his arm-extended with a hold of his jersey but I didn't save it to link here.

Too bad George couldn't use the old tear away jersey. Maybe that would get the refs attention

To add to the frustration on the topic, Purdue was called for defensive holding...twice...last week...it was dumbfounding.

What is more frustrating about it with respect to Karlaftis is that it is so blatant, so obvious, and, so visible...yet, 100% consciously ignored somehow and for some reason.

Non-existent against Oklahoma today - Lincoln Riley basically admitted "we push the edge until they call it."

It's amazingly inconsistent throughout NCAA games this year from what I have seen.
