FACT CHECK Oklahoma Republican James Lankford and Arizona independent Kyrsten Sinema, voted against advancing the measure Thursday, protesting what they said was an unserious process focused on political optics. There were arguments about the 8k illegals and how they would be vetted, plus there was foreign aid to Ukraine tied into the bill. All the R's voted against the bill because it was too lenient, and all Buden had to do was reenact Trump's Executive Orders on the border.
