Harbaugh rumors of leaving picking up some steam

Bears will make a strong financial package of least $15.00 an hour.

It could just be ironic, but, I am skeptical...had to be some savings somewhere I am sure...parking spot...door name plate...something...but, to go from Ryan and Matt to Ryan and Matt...if nothing else, ominous.

The Poles hire is good by all accounts, and Eberflus was his guy. So just gonna have to see how it goes. People seem to think this is a bad HC hire, but what do we know? As long as he gets a good OC and some WRs he'll probably at least be fine. Maybe great. Who knows?

George Halas would turn over in his grave if he knew the Bears would pay any one $15.00 an hour!

It is impossible to know at this point.

There are some oddities...we will never know, but, hard to imagine that Poles was hired and within 24 hours had in turn hired Eberflus.

My concerns...not big on a DC as the guy, as, Bears need help DESPERATELY offensively...maybe he hires a great OC, but, skeptical of that as well...more concerning though, just hard to get excited about a guy that has zero HC experience.

I was more a fan of the Poles hire for sure...

I was never of the mindset that the Bears would make some splash hires necessarily, and, maybe indeed these work out...I want them to...but, I am a little underwhelmed....especially with the Eberflus hiring. By most accounts, if not all, the Bears' opening(s) were the most desirable...not sure either of these hirings reflect that...definitely don't feel like the Eberflus one does.

I don’t think there were any real home run hires out there. I can’t sit here and say that Daboll or Leftwich would have been a better hire just because they were OC. Caldwell? The one guy I would feel they missed on is McDaniels, who is now interviewing in Vegas. Who would have gotten you excited?

Sean Payton...but, that was not happening.

I was intrigued with Harbaugh as well, but, it does not sound like that was ever a real chance either.

I agree with you that there are no real home run guys at the moment...I was not excited about Leftwich at all...nor really even Daboll...I was not big on Caldwell, aside of the fact that he did manage to win in Detroit and nobody else has.

I thought an offensive guy makes more sense than defensive one, but, Nagy was an offensive guy and it made no difference at all. The game has moved so much to offense though that you have to have someone that can succeed in that regard, and, also because they have a young QB to build around and with in Fields. To your point though, I was not big on Leftwich...and, did not want them to hire someone solely because they were or had been an OC.

That Poles had basically no apparent interest in Bieniemy might be worth noting.

I was interested in Flores just because he has had success, and, he never should have been fired...the chance to get a guy that should be a NFL HC and that should not have been available made him interesting.

I thought Quinn was a better option that Eberflus, but, just my opinion.

I was looking for an opportunity to bring Fangio back. I thought a hire like Daboll or Harbaugh with Fangio as the defensive head coach would do it. At least the HC wont be calling plays from the sideline again...

I would have been thrilled to have Vic and Harbaugh back together, in Chicago.

I am leery now of Harbaugh leaving...seems that if he had really been interested in the Bears job, that, he could have gotten it.

Yeah. He was linked with the raiders and bears. And raiders just asked for permission with josh mcadaniel so if they were going to hire harbaugh they probably would have already
