Funny that you posted this, as I am currently sitting here at my kitchen table reading Gold & Black, and eating my second bowl of Boiler Tailgate Chili, that we made yesterday. Threw it all together, and let it simmer for about 5 hours. Even baked some oatmeal raisin cookies while it simmered away.

To be honest, I have never had the complete, "full monte" version of the Tailgate Chili. With kids at home, they just wouldn't have eaten any of it, seeing all the spices you put in, the tobasco, etc., (that you really should put in it, to maximize flavor).
I have made many a pot of blander versions (without much of the spices), but never made it to the absolute letter of the recipe...
Damn that is some tasty chili...my wife even makes a mean White Chili(Chicken), that is to die for; but this full recipe version here is undoubtedly the best Chili I have ever made.

Good call BBG.

This would decimate my diet for like 3 days, but I bet it's dang good. It has all of the essentials. I bet the leftovers are even better. I will have to find a Keto Chili recipe, because I do love me some chili.

So you want to no who I am a mother of a child who is a freshman On this purdue basketball team and a mother who is very proud he chose purdue to attend schools. But now I may have a change of thought but I'll deal with it.

I am very sad to read this. My hope is that you would have no change of thought and always have a very positive outlook on Purdue.

This place only represents anonymous posters on a public forum. It is but a small sample size of Purdue fans, and many others that are not.

After the first season plays out, I feel that you may become even closer to all the young men on the team, their families, and the staff. And also the multitude of actual real Purdue alumni and fans who you will meet at games and events. We show great support for our program.

Enjoy the season, enjoy Purdue, and Boiler Up!

I'm not really sure what has been said in this thread, or others. IDK johnhoosier from any other random Joe, don't care one bit about him.. But threatening to ban someone SOLELY on the basis of whom it was said to, rather than what was actually said, is pretty pathetic, is it not? Think about it. It's as political as it gets.

That said, I'm sure treed knows that she was going to be questioned on her identity ever since declaring who she was. I'm also going to bet that she's a grown woman, can take care of herself, has thick skin, and knows there's going to be trolls/doubters/idiots in every message board she enters, after declaring to be the parent of a stud recruit.

Yep. I wouldn’t draw any conclusions about Purdue’s fans in general by the posters on this board. Anyone can sign up here and pretend to be a Purdue fan.

I think that the Mackey crowd is a much better indicator of the type of support that the fans and students have for the players. The Paint Crew, in particular, is a terrific student section.

I new what I was getting into when I created a password to post on this board. Everything he said a agree with why it don't bother me when someone questioned my identity I no who I am and I'm not offended by those who questioned who I am. It's all good

Disagree with this 110%. If someone is giving grief to a known parent of a player they should be purged immediately. Doing that crosses quite a few lines to say the least.

When I first came to this site I was very hopeful that I finally had a place to talk about Purdue sports, but quickly those hopes were dashed. There are some posters on here that are just bent on hating on CMP no matter what, hating on the team and lack any substance whatsoever to contribute to a civil discussion. Then you have people like you mentioned in your post I quoted above, that are pretending to be Purdue fans but really aren't. The only good side is the type of posters I mentioned here, are in a very small minority.

That said, this free board is the first thing someone from the outside is going to see and it needs much better moderation. Not even banning but just deleting posts would go a long way and then the mods can see if someone is continually posting things that need deleted, then a banning is probably in order. Anyway how do you think some of the things posted here look to potential recruits or opposing fanbases? Not that great.

I'm using the ignore feature more than ever because it is pretty easy to get dragged down in to the muck of what the 'trolls' are posting, but the fact remains that those posts still will exist for others to see. And that is a problem.

Haarms thread? Will this back and forth of non-Haarms discussion continue until we finally get to see him actually play in something approaching a real game (e.g., Carroll exhibition game on 11/1)?

If anyone has some real Haarms info to contribute before then, it would certainly be appreciated!
