Great day for gun rights!

Women have a fundamental right to determine whether they have sex or not, which is a reproductive act. Being surprised when you become pregnant by that act and killing the offspring is not. Not sure how difficult that is to understand...

So, does that apply in every state or just some of them?

Do you not understand the concept of state’s rights? Do you not understand the way our Constitutional Republic form of government works?

We do not live in China or Russia. Dictators and autocrats do not get make the rules for the entire country except for limited cases. You are basically advocating for the shredding of the US Constitution. We don’t live in an autocracy and our form of governments puts limits on the reach and the extent of the federal government’s powers. Thank God for that. It seems like you need to take a high school-level civics class.

I understand states rights. I also understand that there are some things states aren’t allowed to do.

Didn’t you say you thought abortion is murder? (If you didn’t please ignore. I don’t want to go back through the whole thread). If it is murder, how can you possibly be ok with it being legal in some states?

Should it be a states rights issue if they overturned that amendment? All I’m saying is that if something is a fundamental right, it should not be up to the states to decide. Abortion is not a states rights issue, it is a human right issue.
Are you suggesting the USSC can overturn an amendment to the constitution?

Again, there is a distinction between what is “right” and what is “legal”. Of course I would prefer that abortion be illegal in all states - but that’s not my call or your call, at least directly. The states get to decide for themselves what is allowed and what isn’t.

The states that will make it illegal will claim doing so for what reason? Isn’t it because they will claim the rights of the unborn have been violated? If so, how can those rights only apply in some of the states? If it isn’t violating the rights of the baby then How can you prevent the woman from doing it in some states but not the others?

Interesting that the man gets left off the hook here. Or maybe that’s the point.

You all can stop the charade that you care about kids before they’re born when it’s clear you don’t care for them after they’re born. Blown away at school? Meh. A sperm touches an egg? Woo boy, the law is coming after you!!

Just admit that it’s a power grab and nothing more. It won’t make any of you less than the assholes you already are; you’d just at least be honest about it for a change.

And they know it is unpopular so they hide behind states rights.

Exactly. You aren’t asking SD a tough question either. You just have him squealing like the stuck pig he is.

And I’m sure the Jesus-humpers and other faux pro-lifers on here will be very vocal for their support for things like universal paid maternity leave. After all, gotta get these kids old enough to be worthy moving targets.

Squealing like stuck pig? That would be you. You and the Progressives are the ones crying, whining, and stomping your feet because the USSC fixed a bad decision made 50 years ago. Are you going to protest in front of conservative SC justices’ houses now? Threaten to kill them and their families?

Jesus Humpers.

Serious time guys.

Guys, take me for real.

Unpopular based on skewed poll samples gathered by biased outlets? 😏

Hide behind states rights? How about actually follow the Constitution? What a novel concept.

What is the proposed crime the mother is breaking by having an abortion?

Democracy is working well when an unpopular decision gets made by justices who were appointed by presidents that lost the popular vote and confirmed by senators that represent a minority of the country.

Reading discussions like this almost makes me prochoice.

Think of how much simpler things would be if some of the liberal nutters on this board's moms only made a simple decision that they didn't want a kid and took advantage of what they so desperately want to protect.

With your logic, your kid would have been better off aborted to not have you as a dad. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you really comparing school shootings and abortion? 930,000+ abortions were reported in 2020 alone. School shooting numbers aren’t even close to that.

How does the man get left off the hook? Right now the man has ZERO input on whether his child gets aborted. And neither does the child. This isn't a power grab. It's doing what's right.

Lol. Sure Pat. Okay let’s play along. So you’d be good with universal paid maternity leave? Paid daycare and prek? Expanding all the child tax credits? Forcing the man to pay half of everything? Okay with the rapist having rights too? Because many states won’t have a provision for that. If the mom’s life is at risk then what, tough it out? Because many states won’t have provisions for that.

Again, please stop acting like you care about the unborn because no one on here gives a shit when they’re born.

Does what apply? Having a choice to not have sex???

I’m just wondering why this is a states rights issue. If the baby has the right to life then why are they able to be aborted in some states? If the unborn does not have the right to life then why is the mother being prevented from having an abortion in some states?

Kudos to you for sticking to just one screen name so far this evening.
Huh? Kudos to you for never getting those teeth straightened out. You may want to change that Facebook picture, it’s probably not getting much pull on Grinder ya little homo.

You’re right, a lot of people don’t give a rip about the ones doomed for hell like yourself but we’ll all pray for you and your boy toys.

If you're a responsible father, you're already paying for your child. Rape is less than 2% of abortions. Health of the mother and child account for only 7%. More than 40% of them are with someone who has already had one or more abortions, while 90% of abortions occur with women over 20 years old. So let's stop pretending that people who have abortions are predominantly those who made a mistake in their youth or are doing it for health reasons..

I'm good with provisions for rape/incest (less than 2%) and health (about 7%). But let's continue to allow the other 90%+ to occur because we can't figure out how to compromise...

You're arguing constitutional issues, not whether abortion is right or wrong.

I know. That’s what I’ve been doing this whole thread. Conservatives know this is unpopular so they are hiding behind states rights. I wish more would just come out and say what they really are thinking.

Being popular or not popular has nothing to with the interpretation of the constitution. If the people overwhelmingly elected lawmakers to codify abortion rights, then popular or not popular comes into play. Otherwise this is a mute point...

It’s surprising how many people don’t understand the role of the SCOTUS. It’s mainly dumb and emotional liberals but it’s still amazing.
