What a crock. He was picked because of his beliefs about the special counsel, and of course the standard Republican willingness to roll back worker protections.
Kavanaugh claimed he had never seen “any documents that appeared to you to have been drafted or prepared by Democratic staff members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.” At the time, Manuel Miranda, a Republican Senate aide, had
improperly obtained and circulated thousands of private Democratic files detailing strategies for opposing Bush’s judicial nominees. Kavanaugh insisted in his 2004 confirmation hearings that he never saw any of the files Miranda obtained, telling Sen. Orrin Hatch, “I was not aware of that matter in any way whatsoever until I learned it in the media.”
Kavanaugh was in fact on the emails that Miranda had stolen. His denying knowing anything about them is perjury.

In 2011, Above the Law was sued for $50 million for an erroneous story about a rape to which one of its articles linked; the lawsuit was ultimately settled out of court.

In 2016, Above the Law received criticism from many publications when its Breaking Media Editor at Large, Elie Mystal, wrote an article suggesting that
jury nullification of crimes by
African Americans against whites could be used by jurors as a form of protest
More of Miz Mystal's ramblings: From the Washington Times.....
Elie Mystal, editor of Above The Law, said acquitting black defendants regardless of guilt would “put the shoe on the other foot for a change.”
“Maybe it’s time for black people to use the same tool white people have been using to defy a system they do not consent to: jury nullification,”
Mr. Mystalsaid in the op-ed published Wednesday. “White juries regularly refuse to convict or indict cops for murder. White juries refuse to convict vigilantes who murder black children. White juries refuse to convict other white people for property crimes.
“Maybe it’s time minorities got in the game?” he continued.
“Black people lucky enough to get on a jury could use that power to acquit any person charged with a crime against white men and white male institutions.”
Really...fairness in the judicial system????
Mr. Mystal, a graduate of Harvard Law School, said the severity of the crime makes no difference.
“Assault? Acquit. Burglary? Acquit. Insider trading? Acquit,” he said. “Murder? … what the hell do you think is happening to black people out there? What the hell do you think we’re complaining about when your cops shoot us or choke us? Acquit.”
Hardly a worthy reference to base your argument about Kavanaugh's seating on the SCOTUS.
