The good news is there is precedence for everyone thinking Swanigan was heading West once before.....only to end up staying in Indiana.

A few years ago announced he was going back to Utah to finish his high school career. Ended up as Mr. Basketball and state champion in Indiana.

Now when away from home and hanging out with a potential future teammate at CAL he tweets....he will announce in a week.

Barnes steps in and says....we may announce Saturday.....or may wait.

Like a lot of 18 years olds...he respects the authority figure in his life.....but also getting far away from that discipline/structure for a while is also probably appealing.

There is no way Barnes is steering Swanigan towards CAL. Now if both Brown and Raab announce for CAL....then perhaps CAL becomes more viable as a "business decision".

What nobody knows is who will ultimately call the shots here. If it's Barnes....we will see a Purdue, MSU, or Duke decision. If it's Caleb......CAL is a good bet.

Note; All of the above is pure speculation on my part (vbg).
