Foster Farms Bowl

It's a two way street guys. Kevin Wilson, who we all think isnt a very good coach. I watched him literally outcoach Jeff Brohm, your new savior, last year. How do you guys know hes gonna win in the Big Ten? This isn't Conference USA. How about we let these guys have a few years and than judge them.

Allen improved our defense and ST coverage units. Obviously he knows what he's doing. The problem is, his OC is almost John Schoop level. Our QB makes David Blough look like Aaron Rodgers. And our Kicking game is a disaster. Kevin Wilson robbed IU for a lot of money just like Tom Crean has.
Actually Wilson left $2M on the table voluntarily, which makes me assume there are some things that he and IU would like to keep quiet.

He's a former HS HC who seems to be emotionally unstable. You watch, IU is going to slide back down to the bottom of the BIG.

Purdue just hired a real HC (with a .750 winning %) and IU's Fred Glass panicked and hired a former HS HC. Allen has no business being the HC of a BIG program right now.

Jeff Brohm. Who got outcoached by Kevin Wilson and has never heard of defense. Ok.

You guys obviously like to just beat down anything related to IU. But I didn't see much deer in the headlights from Tom Allen. Wilson left him with a terrible QB, K, P, and a severely wounded roster. I thought he did a respectable job. He'll end up being another Terry Heoppner. I have no doubt.
How many winning seasons did Heoppner have at IU?

Right. Hugh Freeze is going to lose his OC to IU? LMAO Perhaps I could see this happening if Ole Miss decided to can this OC.

Man, you are out of touch. They did let him go. But as a scapegoat. He's done well. Wilson got a lot of big name coaches to leave big programs and turn down big programs to come here. It happens.

IU will be good under Tom Allen. His defense will get even better as the depth gets better.
That Coach Allen late game clock management sure was wonderful wasn't it. He may be a good defensive coach (222 yards rushing for Joe Williams plus 51 yards receiving), but I don't think he's head coach material and never did. But hey, it's IU football and no one really cares. Now that IU basketball team....that boy Crean sure can coach.

I'm done talking to you guys. Lol. IU could hire Nick Saban and Brad Stevens and you guys would find negative stuff to say. Gold and Black bias at its best.

I could care less what you say. Talking to you is about like talking to a wall.

Guess what, fake football... IU has finished above .500 only ELEVEN times over the past 57 seasons! With their loss tonight, that is IU's 44th losing season since then.

And did Terry "Heoppner" ever finish a season at .500 or higher when he coached at IU??

I'm out of touch? IU consistently winning 7-9 games/yr? Especially when they play in the BIG East?

You're saying that Tom Allen is going to become IU's Joe Tiller. I'm telling you right now, this is NOT going to happen.

Brohm has a much better chance to be a winning coach at Purdue playing in the BIG West than Allen does at IU playing in the BIG East.

BTW, you mentioned Wilson beating Brohm. Did you know that Darrell Hazell beat Western Michigan's PJ Fleck? One of Hazell's 9 wins in 4 seasons. Does that make Hazell a better coach than Fleck, the current MAC darling? If IU was smart, they should have made a run at Fleck. Instead, they panicked and took Allen.

I agree they should have gone after Fleck. I think he'd have been a very good fit there, much more so than had he ended up at Purdue.

Here's a question for Purdue fans that are always seeming to dog IU. What the hell have you guys done lately? In any sport? Nothing! Taking Ls to IU. You guys might get us in Volleyball or Womens Golf. Smh.

Speaking of lately, we beat Iowa tonight by 22 and your Loosiers lost to a 6-6 Nebraska team. Please keep Tom Crean for many more years. He's awesome as a bench coach. IU is talented but they are not a smart team or well-coached.

Face it, IU is historically one of the worst programs in Division I football. Purdue owns IU all-time and in the Bucket games. Now that we have a real FB coach again, our football program is going to get significantly better and IU is going to drift back to their historic norms - which is bad.

Matt Painter sucks. Didn't you guys lose to Little Rock in the tournament? Brohm, might be good. We'll see. Yes, IU football has a terrible history. I think they are building though. Purdue is pretty irrelevant in athletics. Idk why you guys should be mocking anyone.

You do realize that BOTH Purdue football AND Purdue basketball have NEVER had a losing record to IU since the very beginning of playing each other in each respective sport?

And on that note, the "Three Little Piig Monkeys" are consoling you with their "Crybaby Dance" routine:

It's easy to mock IU when he own you in football and basketball historically. Even Gene Keady basically coached Bobby Knight to a draw, and Knight was IU's best coach ever.

IU is the equivalent of ND in football. Has beens with fanbases that think they still are at an elite level even though neither school has won a NC since the 1980s. IU basketball will never get to the level Knight had it with Crean as their coach.

Painter sucks, but he's 8-5 vs. Crean? If Painter sucks, then Crean must really suck.

In the two major sports that matter - Purdue owns iu and will for the rest of your life.

But what has Purdue ever won? Nothing. Irrelevant in both sports just like we are.

Purdue football fans do what they claim IU basketball fans do. They live in the past. I will be the first to admit I don't think IU basketball is an elite program anymore. In my opinion there is just as many question marks about Brohm as there is Allen. First, he has only been a head coach for three years so lets not act like he has an abundant amount of experience compared to Tom Allen. In those three years Brohm is 1-5 vs power 5 teams having only beaten a 4-8 Vanderbilt team. In those six games WKU got outscored 209-143. That is an average of 41.8 points per game. So it isn't outrageous to question the defenses under Jeff Brohm. Offensively they averaged 28.6 points per game in those 6 games. Not bad. If you look at it closer though they scored 38, 35 and 34 points against horrible defenses like IU last year, Illinois and Vanderbilt. He won't have the luxury of going against horrible defenses week in and week out in the Big Ten.

Before you say I am an IU homer the jury will still be out on Tom Allen for sure. I liked the way he coached last night. The only mistake I saw was I thought they should have spiked the ball after they completed the fourth down play. I didn't mind keeping the time out because that kept the whole field in play and you always hate having to rush a kicker out or have them run out of time before they would even get to attempt a kick. What Allen did with that defense in one year gives me great hope if he can hire the right offensive guy. Hiring Grant Heard from Ole Miss to coach wide receivers is a big plus not only in coaching ability but recruiting. Just need to continue building depth. Not having Marcus Oliver last night really hurt in stopping the running game. Although credit to Joe Williams. Kid was a stud.

I will disagree. They are not good, they are competitive. They are in a bowl because they beat enough bad teams. They still haven't had a winning season since '07. This is a team that struggled to beat us.
Agreed
And IU didn't beat a team with a winning record all season.

And Purdue will still own iu the rest of your life. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Own? In what? You've lost 4 straight in football. Your lost the last basketball game. You are likely to beat us once or twice in basketball but like I said, that is good for IU fans and bad for Tom Crean.

What do you think will happen with Purdue football in the next 2-3 years?

I don't see how you guys can say IU sucks when Purdue is one of the worst athletic departments in the nation. Fact.

Are you really puffing your chest out for soccer and swimming titles?

I'll ask again: where do you see Purdue football in 2-3 years?

Ever heard of Nick Holt? Coached at USC and Washington? Former HC at Idaho himself?
Is this the same Holt that his defenses are 1-5 against P5 schools while at WKU and have given up an average of 42 points per game to those P5 schools? That Nick Holt?
