That average high school coach is kicking Brohms butt right now in recruiting. Just seen our spring game and Tom Allen looks like the real deal to me. But don't take my word for it, just ask the great Jon Gruden. At least he's not an average high school coach taking over his first BCS program.
Gruden is a loud mouth who guided a team built by Tony Dungy to the Super Bowl, then that team fell apart with Jon as the coach. You put a lot of faith into a spring game?Really? That average high school coach is kicking Brohms butt right now in recruiting. You're right maybe we should wait for you guys to at least get one commit before we can start comparing whose class is betterYou have absolutely no idea who is winning the recruiting battle. We won't know that for at least 2-3 years, maybe longer.
Compared to the train wreck of a spring game you guys put on last week, I'd say we're off to a great start.Gruden is a loud mouth who guided a team built by Tony Dungy to the Super Bowl, then that team fell apart with Jon as the coach. You put a lot of faith into a spring game?Really?
Anyone who knows anything about football doesn't think much of spring games.Compared to the train wreck of a spring game you guys put on last week, I'd say we're off to a great start.

Yeah you can't tell much from a spring game other than IU is bigger, deeper and more athletic than Purdue. The talent level at IU is head and shoulders above what Purdue can put on the field. Based off watching our spring game versus Purdue spring game, I'll predict the bucket stays with us for the next four yearsAnyone who knows anything about football doesn't think much of spring games.
From where we came from, I'll gladly take back to back Bowl appearances. I was merely making a point that our high school coach is out recruiting the great Brohm so far and if our recruiting classes are mediocre then that must make Purdue's recruiting class trash.LOL. Maybe you should wait for IU to win their first bowl game in a quarter century before running around acting like you're Alabama. One single winning season in the last 23 years and it took a coach to die to inspire the team to that.
Congrats on your mediocre recruiting class though. Hopefully your high school coach can develop them!
I will take that bet, chump, and you will lose.Yeah you can't tell much from a spring game other than IU is bigger, deeper and more athletic than Purdue. Yes,the Hoosiers have had back to backBowl games and losses largely because they clinched six wins each year over teams built by Purdues last coach, who was the worst in Big Ten history. From where we came from, I'll gladly take back to back Bowl appearances. bet boiler down. I'll be sure to remind you of our bet after we spank your butt and keep the bucket for 5 in a rowI will take that bet, chump, and you will lose.
Put Purdue in the Big Ten East and they will win two games a year.Yes,the Hoosiers have had back to backBowl games and losses largely because they clinched six wins each year over teams built by Purdues last coach, who was the worst in Big Ten history.
You might see the Loosiers win one more, but you said four more.Has IU ever beat anyone eight times in a row?Get ready for the first game IU has next fall,as they lose to OSU again. But the Hoosiers have won over the Buckeyes twice since 1951.bet boiler down. That is how many IU averaged the last six years under Kevin Wilson. And the Hoosiers have won a whopping 38 league games in the last 22 seasons, less than two per season.Put Purdue in the Big Ten East and they will win two games a year.
I was talking about games all season. I don't think Purdue could beat anybody in the Big Ten East right now with the garbage roster they haveThat is how many IU averaged the last six years under Kevin Wilson.
Beating a mediocre big ten team once every couple years doesn't guarantee that he will have success in the Big Ten on a consistent basis. My main concern with Brohm was could he recruit at a big ten level. So far my concerns have been proven accurate. You guys don't even have one commits yet, very telling.Well you're talking to the wrong person if you want someone to marvel at recruiting class rankings. I'm more about what coaches can do with the recruits they get. I don't think Western Kentucky was beating many Big Ten teams in recruiting down there but they were better than many Big Ten teams last year. Meanwhile, Tom Allen couldn't even win a regional at one of the top high school programs in the state of Indiana. I'm sure he's the right guy to lead a college program.
The roster may not be great, but if IU is so outstanding, why did they just barely beat Purdue last year?I was talking about games all season. I don't think Purdue could beat anybody in the Big Ten East right now with the garbage roster they have
It doesn't matter how many commits a team has now,it only matters in February.Beating a mediocre big ten team once every couple years doesn't guarantee that he will have success in the Big Ten on a consistent basis. I truly believe that we going to give the Buckeyes a scared of their life. And I wouldn't be super shocked if we pull off an upset. And with the lack of talent in athletes on the boilers roster I just don't see Purdue beating us in the next few yearsYou might see the Loosiers win one more, but you said four more.Has IU ever beat anyone eight times in a row?Get ready for the first game IU has next fall,as they lose to OSU again. But the Hoosiers have won over the Buckeyes twice since 1951.
Oh it does, most of the highly establish prospects are already coming off the broad. A lot of these kids are trying to get recruiting over with so they can concentrate on senior year.It doesn't matter how many commits a team has now,it only matters in February.
Injuries and a Juco quarterback who was in his first year of major college football, learning a whole new system. But I actually think the kid Ramsey is going to bet him out of the starting spotThe roster may not be great, but if IU is so outstanding, why did they just barely beat Purdue last year?
Some of them are commiting, but not all of them.Oh it does, most of the highly establish prospects are already coming off the broad. A lot of these kids are trying to get recruiting over with so they can concentrate on senior year.
I am sure IU was the only team with injured players, just like the Hoosier basketball team was.By the twelfth game of the year,he was still learning a system?Injuries and a Juco quarterback who was in his first year of major college football, learning a whole new system. True, plus you always have your late bloomers but man Brohm better get started pretty soon. Can't go into May and June without any commitsSome of them are commiting, but not all of them.
Tom Allen may be ok.Who knows? He may be the first Coach to leave Gloomington with a career winning record since Bo Mc Millan left in 1947.Goodnight boilers didn't mean to ruffle so many feathers just was defending my coach
Granted it was more than injuries the team was fractured. Half the guys were with Wilson, half the guys wanted him gone. Hard to get a team to play as one with that much division inside the locker room. Tom Allen has remove the negative vibe from the program. He got them boys playing like a family big things ahead for Hoosier footballI am sure IU was the only team with injured players, just like the Hoosier basketball team was.By the twelfth game of the year,he was still learning a system?
I think he's going to be a special coach and I hope you stay as long as possible.Tom Allen may be ok.Who knows? He may be the first Coach to leave Gloomington with a career winning record since Bo Mc Millan left in 1947.
