Is giving up over 20 offensive rebounds something to worry about?

Yes. Every team has a weakness whether it be FTs, TOs, shot selection, etc. Defensive rebounding is Purdue's.

Being able to win close games will likely hinge on ability to get defensive rebounds down the stretch for Purdue all year. Scoring should not be a problem.

Yes rebounding will be an issue. But SIU-E basically jacked up 3s all night and those are tough to rebound, especially when the shooters are bad and bounces are erratic. I see a Vince, Haarms, Haas lineup when rebounding becomes a serious issue.

Best Line, IMO: Eastern - 8pts, 5 boards and 8 assists. I see Purdue's first triple double in 30 years at some point in his career. Mama Reed is smiling I am sure, though probably used to see Nojel play like that.
Yeah but he isn’t a point guard, so said one of the talking heads (Bossi? I can’t remember which talking head is which).

I didn't watch, but some who did said they were long rebounds. So Purdue may have been in good position, boxing out, and still not be in the right place at the right time. But Painter said it's a concern, so I'm curious to see how they look after a couple of games.

At least in this game, they addressed turnovers, which always concerns Painter.

I think rebounding and turnovers are the two biggest concerns for almost every coach and team. Rebounding isn't concerning to me yet as a lot of rebounding is effort and we were playing SIUE, we all knew we would scoot through this and Sundays game.
