Austin has forgotten more about commanding troops than Hegseth knows. Then all you have to bring up is that he didn’t tell anyone where he was at. Perhaps he was dealing with his medical issue which was serious.

I don't know if he's qualified of not. I don't know what the qualifications are for Def Sec (neither do you). But, if Trump trust and believes in him, that's good enough for me. He'll surround him with strong leaders, advisors, etc.
He has 2 bronze stars and went to Princeton. Served in Cuba, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Hegseth literally wrote the book on taking wokeism out of the military. He's going to get rid of the DEI crap and let the military do what they're supposed to do, which is go out and kick ass on a global basis.
Pete is a really smart guy. He's going to build a leadership team of other really smart, experienced people where race, gender or the alphabet soup won't be part of the consideration. He's not going to be making decisions by himself.
