“As a student at Michigan State I am completely heartbroken and betrayed by the schools administration. It’s time to accept responsibility for your actions or lackthereof and step down. I feel that the administration of my school is in the hands of uneducated sociopaths who feel absolutely no remorse and have no regard for the health of the student body. I do not support them. Talk is cheap, but my tuition isn’t, and I’m tired of your apologies. While I’ve been struggling with this emotional turmoil you’ve been worried about basketball donors and how this university has “many more things going on than this Nassar thing.’”

Student and survivor...

Anyone want to talk to me about “the poor survivors.”

Her language would suggest that a cleanup beyond the Nassar matters is appropriate and that this should not become a News cycle thing

Shouldnt this be posted on the MSU board?

Also, anyone expecting a huge cleanup is most likely going to be disappointed.

1) it’s the offseason... also MSU is in our conference

2) I know that.. it’s not right but I know that

I have to say, I have a lot of compassion for our MSU brethren.

The fans deserve better than this. Much, MUCH better.

They're fans, just like us.

And, they're subject to the decisions and leadership (or lack, thereof) of the people in charge.

If any of us think they've done anything to bring this on to themselves, we're sorely mistaken.

I thank God that we've had the strong leadership it appears we've been blessed with.

And, my heart goes out to all the parents who have been affected, either directly or indirectly, with the immensely poor leadership at MSU.

To me the fans here are a straw man.

Something needs to be done about how sexual assault is handled, or rather not handled, at institutions with big money programs.

If fans lose their joy come March or Saturday then so be it. This is the moment where you can show people in the future “you know we have been made aware of this .. if we show any preferential treatment or fail in any way... we risk losing everything”

What do you propose be done?

Remember, this is a criminal issue, not an NCAA issue

Being arrested for DUI or drugs is a criminal matter but you can still be fired from your job for it...same thing for the NCAA.

If the NCAA had the balls, all they’d have to do is give a recommendation for firing to the university (which the university’s would like because it’d be something they could use to void a big contract) and give a show-cause penalty for the coach and places scholarship reductions on the institution/post season ban. That’s what the NCAA has the power to do and should do.

I think this video of Charles Rodgers explains a lot as far as what you’re dealing with. My god I’m in tears!

“Period!”

Oh my god.. not only does that let you know what kind of “student athlete” you have there.. but to me the biggest story is... the dumbasses at that affiliate thought that this was newsworthy?

You’re you.. and you’re the one replying with some sort of grabasstic bs you can’t explain. What point are you making?

No grabasstic bs. Izzo recruited Walton, Payne and lucious and they were assholes who perpetrated mayhem. He should be canned.

What sort of sjw bs do you want me to spout?

Ok so if they should be canned where is the disagreement? Can him and move on. No one is saying to take basketball and ban it at MSU .. and If they are I wouldn’t go that far ...

Don't forget scholar athletes like Branden Dawson, Keith Appling and Derrick Nix.

Not that we didn't recruit Dawson too.

You can recruit whoever you want unless there is stuff you should know beforehand ... but it’s all about what you do once you know or should know that players are assaulting women... period

I like how MSU had a former football player in the MSU PD investigating the current football players. He found nothing wrong so they think everyone at MSU did the right thing.

Does that pass the smell test?
