I will say this. I am shocked that they came out so lethargic for about 90% of this game. This is a team you have to beat down. Butler is like one of those rag teams that just gets the most improbably shots with 3 pt shooting over and over and over. Purdue cannot turn the ball over like that against a team like this and expect to win. No way. I also put a lot of this on the coach. Hammons played way way too short of minutes out there. He needed to be out on the floor much more tonight. Props to Swan. He's a great player. He just has to guard that ball better. Short of a few turnovers Purdue pulls this one out despite an entire game of horrible play. The combination of things did them in.
Good thing it doesn't matter what other people think, including media, especially in December.
We lost playing an avg or below avg game...18 TOs drop six down to our avg and the game is different. The fast pace seemed to gas us out. On too Vandy!
This isn't unique to Purdue. A vast majority of teams play poorly and lose from time to time.

I know we all would feel better if we came out with more energy, didn't turn the ball over 18 times, that the refs didn't make a couple traveling calls, etc. . . . We did and they did!
This is our opportunity to learn early (December), make adjustments, internalize how sh--y it feels to lose and hopefully crush Vandy on Tuesday.

I can't believe we lost a game!! I thought for sure we'd go undefeated. I'm a little confused with all the sky is falling posts. We are still a very good, potentially great team. Hopefully we learn something from this loss and move on. Also, 4 of the top 10 lost yesterday and ours was the only one vs a ranked opponent I highly doubt those other three teams think that the season is over because of a loss in December as so many on this board seem to think.
Learn to look at the post count when you form an opinion of the people who post here. Usually a loss will bring in trolls like Logicalman23. You can pretty much discount any poster with 30 or less posts, especially when you only see them post after a loss. Usually I don't acknowledge a troll unless he is persistent.
