Ennis is a no-go

I didn't say that. I'm saying you are MAKING UP the convo in your head that went on when you have NO idea at all what was said.

Well that's obvious since we weren't there. That's why my original response stated "I hope (their meeting) didn't come down to something like...". You seem to be trying to make a point where there is none. We all know that we weren't there and that this is speculation. That's something that is common on message boards since it's an outlet to share our thoughts.

I don't understand how Illinois can make his list with 2 solid pg's already on their roster, but we can't with such a glaring need for one.

Abrams is coming off ACL and Tate is anything but solid.

Oregon appears to be the favorite, though.

He could just tell him that he has the upper hand, as long as he is always giving it his all.

Assuming MP did not say that, which seems to be the assumption here, do you think those would have been the magic words that would have gotten him to commit?

I don't know that there would have been any "magic words" he could have said, but I would think telling him that he had the upper-hand for the starting PG spot (as long as he worked hard) would hypothetically be a better sell than if he basically told him that it was up for grabs between him, Thompson, and Weatherford (basically meaning that they would all be equal to start off the PG battle).
