For the lurkers still here. Where’s a good spot in Lousiville to stop on the way to our bowl game in Nashville?

There's a place in downtown Louisville by their theater district . Depends on your budget and how classy you want to go.

I second what Indypillowbiter said. No reason for any of you to stop in Louisville. Thanks in advance.

We'll stop at the rest area, right before getting to the Ohio river. Give the dogs a rest. Collect the droppings, as responsible people do.

Then, stop by the Pepperfield double-wide trailer, and leave you a present.

What are you in the mood for? Are you staying in Louisville or just driving through? Budget?

Hold out for Hattie B’s in Nashville
Hattie B’s has great hot chicken, but it’s important to properly set people’s expectations. I’ve only been to the one in West End, near Vanderbilt. It’s somewhere between fast food and fast casual.

Depending upon when you go, you’ll very likely wait in a line outside the door, order at the counter, struggle to find a place to sit, and then have your food brought to you in a plastic basket along with a plastic knife and fork.

Again, love their chicken, but go there knowing what to expect!

Despite what IndySouthsider said, Louisville is a very good food city. Usually appears in the high teens in any “best food cities in the US” list. This will probably help: https://www.thrillist.com/louisville

If you are stopping try this place. It’s old school good. Not fancy but cool.

Morris Deli Liquor and Catering- try country ham sandwhich & pimento cheese

Since 1987, Morris Deli, Liquor and Catering has taken great pride in serving Louisville simple, great food at affordable prices and a welcoming atmosphere. We are a unique blend of old fashioned general store, full service deli, and fully stocked liquor store, all in the heart of the Highlands.

Anywhere on Whiskey Row is good. On Main Street right by the river on the Kentucky side of the Second Street Bridge, which is not tolled like the I-65 bridges.

I like the 4th street District and Embassy Suites. The Seebach Hilton is also very nice and a lot cheaper than expected. They have a nice breakfast buffet. Some worthy dining places of notein that area: Jeff Ruby's steak house. the Brown Hotel lobby, Vincenzo's, Gordon Biersch brewery, the Live District, Eddie Merlots, Pestos, Brendon's Catch 23, Gatsbys, Hard Rock Café, TGI Fridays, and a nice ice cream parlor on 4th street.

On a side note, I grew up in a Schult single wide mobile home in a trailer park, and find all of the doublewide references, pictures and jokes posted on this board very offensive. one would think from a community that manufactured National Homes, that you would have a little more respect for people that can't afford an $800,00 house in a closed gate community.

I agree - really good point. The irony is - nobody making those references lives in a gated community. Classic projection.

Bigs, I, too, lived in a trailer when my parents were very young.

My grandmother lived much of her adult life in one, pretty much all the years I knew her; First, in Bloomfield, then in Bloomington.

Additionally, a sibling lived in one for a short time after being married.

If we try hard enough, we ALL can find reasons to be offended. For starters, we could be offended by so many people who want to create so many rules of things people cannot say, that we all walk on egg shells for fear of being an offendER.

If you're so offended by the trailer references (of which I'm guilty, and likely engaging in a large percentage of it), I would strongly suggest you get much thicker skin.

Let's not go out of our way to try to shut people down, simply because we choose to be offended. Society needs stronger people. Not people who walk around, perpetually offended.

The posters on several other boards warned us about Pepperfield, and what a terrible poster he is. A real pain.

I had hoped he would go away after Brohm made his decision. However, some of our posters keep responding to him, unfortunately. Of course, being the attention hog he is, he is now a regular here, posting very little of note, just trashing threads and gettin people to respond. It is a sad social life, but it’s all he has,

there are some really cool places to eat in Louisville, just depends how much time you want to spend if your heading to Nashville. The Silver Dollar, is a few minutes from downtown but highly recommend if you have time. Right off the exit to down town, several places on Whiskey Row. Doc Crows is good (BBQ), Sidebar has the best burger in downtown (Gourmet Burger), Troll Pub under the bridge is typical bar type food but good, along with O'shea's Pub.

To be fair - and accurate - the only posters from “other boards” that have said anything negative about the ole Dickster, are those know-nothing, hillbilly yut scrubs - like WildyutofNati. And far from being an “attention hog”, I’ve posted infrequently - only doing so on threads that were interesting.

If this is a sincere question, I don't have an answer.
If this is a troll thread, 10/10 hahahaha

No, dipstick. It's simply poking the bear. It's unnecessary to live in a gated community, in order to take a jab at you.
My skin is thick. I was just calling you out for your language and name calling of others it is you who became defensive and continued your name calling of others. Why do you feel the need to constantly call other posters you disagree with names?
