Down year for the conference?

We're getting our B1G ass kicked sideways everywhere. And it doesn't look better later tonight.

Ohio State let a decent lead slip in the second half....they're still in it. The Gophers better be ready to play 5-on-5......maybe the Huskers? But yeah, clock's about to strike midnight.

Trying to find a competitive game in the first slot. Ended up on OSU-Clemson. If this is the best we've got we're hurting.

If Dookie Vitale is doing the Mich game and Dakich is on OSU who are we getting for the ridiculous Dook/IU matchup?

My brain is getting ready to hurt.

Yes....not a good finish for the overture......three more double-digit wins for the ACC, 9-1, and this is officially a shellacking.

Edit/update: Penn State/NC State hasn't gone final yet...Lions of Nittany trail by 7 now with 2 and a half minutes left.

Looks like the top 3 are strong. The middle and bottom are not looking so good early.
This may change later as teams appear to be in a young cycle.

With this showing, Purdue will need to go 16-2 or 15-3 in conference play to get a good seed.
Arizona will get those freshmen playing defense eventually and rocket up the rankings late in the year because they are very talented. That will make our crushing them look good again. We beat UL so we seem to have handled the best teams Adidas could buy. Add a good road win at Marquette and things look good now. If we had not been soft going into Atlantis this would be an outstanding situation.

The Big Ten is now 8th in conference RPI. There’s not much that’s going to change that between now and March. We will have some quality wins, but too many games against teams outside of the top 100.

1 Southeastern
2 Big 12

+1 3 Atlantic Coast

-1 4 Big East
5 Missouri Valley
6 Pacific-12
7 American Athletic
8 Big Ten

Plenty will change. Big Ten won’t be behind MVC in March
Do I believe the MVC or American are stronger leagues? No. But RPI is the freaking gospel to the idiots on the selection committee. Once the nonconference games are done, RPI is a zero sum game for a conference, so individual teams can move up and down but conferences are pretty much locked in relative order.

Each Big Ten team has 1 or 2 more nonconference games against a team with a pulse. Need to rack up a bunch of wins in those games.
