Purdue will release its official depth chart for the Illinois game later today. As we have been doing this season, our early take on potential changes ...

Well, let's start with the O-line: There's honestly not much Purdue can do here to help. As Kyle outlined well in his Report Card. But if McCann was "healthy" enough to play Saturday — and I contend he really wasn't, based on his play, but they put him out there anyway — then he'll likely be back with the starting group Saturday and back on the depth chart. Don't know where Patterson's situation is right now, but would assume he'll miss at least another game for the arrest/battery charge, which likely would mean Cameron Cermin will be on the depth chart at left tackle. Everyone needs to play better up front, there's no doubt about that.

I don't think we'll see Markell Jones off the depth chart, officially, but, man, that guy isn't healthy either. And, as I wrote about in my Breakdown, who'd be No. 1 if not him? Who has the best ability to make plays when there is no room to make them? Not sure we have enough data on that from those backups right now.

Because Tim Cason started and played more than Myles Norwood, that'd be a likely change to the depth chart. With C.J. Parker starting two consecutive games instead of Leroy Clark, maybe that change will show up on the official one, too.

Don't think Eddy Wilson not starting is any indication he won't going forward.
