Abrego Garcia fled El Salvador 15 years ago to escape threats and extortion from the violent Barrio 18 gang and sought asylum in the United States. Deeming his life to be in danger if he were to return to his home country, a U.S. immigration judge in 2019 granted him a form of legal protection known as “withholding of removal,” which included eligibility for work authorization. In other words: He went through a process established in U.S. law, sought protection from persecution, and was eventually granted protection from deportation to El Salvador and a work permit.
The Department of Justice admitted in court that removing Abrego Garcia from the U.S. was unlawful (what attorneys for the U.S. have called an “administrative error”), but the Trump administration has refused to take steps to bring him home.
The Supreme Court has upheld Xinis’ April 4 order that the government should “facilitate” the release of Abrego Garcia and said it should “ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador.” The high court instructed the District Court to clarify the order to “effectuate” his return, “with due regard for the deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs,” and said the federal government “should be prepared to share what it can concerning the steps it has taken and the prospect of further steps. "

There are several things at play in the above. One is the grouping or lack of grouping of crime and what it is or all crime having the same weight. The other thing that would be needed is to know if geographical areas statistically show different levels of arrests inside various populations and how that data for various crimes compares to other areas between illegal, legal immigrants and native born Americans. Does it fall inside the expected values? Ultimately, is there a distinction not only for various crimes, but those of an illegal immigrant and a legal immigrant to native American born...and is the data different prior to Biden and after Biden. Lots of questions relative to legal, illegal immigrants and native born Americans. I'm also unsure there is a "net" positive economically. There are many extra costs without full assimilation...and such just due to language while ignoring other costs as well. That is data I would like to see and that data I'm sure doesn't exist
I can and have linked studies that definitely show the opposite.
What would be difficult in getting better numbers is that we don't know how many illegals we have for proportional comparisons as far as crime...let alone different categories of crime. Costs would be easier. How do we rate the costs of waiting on a number for English?
Then again, would illegals consist of 100% crime?
Ok, how about this:
The US brings him back from the Salvadoran prison. That day, they put him in front of a judge. The judge confirms that he's an illegal immigrant (with or without MS 13 ties). That same day, they deport him and put him back on a flight back to the Salvadoran prison.
Would that make you happy?

This is actually a mutually beneficial deal for both the US and El Salvador: we pay them a fraction of what it costs to house prisoners here and they suddenly have a new source of income. Perfect.

He may have entered illegally but he's not now given the above. He's not getting deported in a new court proceeding for simply being illegal.
That said, if he is brought back and goes to court, is represented by council and the judge rules he should be deported, I'm fine with that.
Why? Lol. Because his due process rights as a resident were satisfied as guaranteed by the judicial process being followed.
So again. If here was brought back, was represented by a public defender immigration attorney, the judge heard his case and renders a decision that he be deported, then you're OK with him being on the next flight back to El Salvador?

I get it just fine: This guy came into our country illegally, some judge issued some decree that let him stay and work. He beat his wife, was determined to be MS13 and the Trump administration deported him.
