It is easy to remember that we had one of the worst defenses in the country for a while too last year.
While we return most of the team, obviously the PG spot is one where we have some freshness - and the PG spot is one of the critical parts of a team's defense.
I expect our defense to be very good by conference play, but it'll be interesting to see how good it is from the get-go. With an average non-conference schedule, we need to keep a clean slate of bad losses as best we can. Not to sound cliche, but you are going to have off-nights on offense. But your defense is something you can control.
