Post on TOS that DesStewart passed today as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage. A diehard Boiler gone at the age of 82 may he rest in peace.

I don't typically pay much attention to names on message boards, but DesStewart stood out, consistently making excellent points. A true Boilermaker. RIP, and prayers for his family.
Yep. He was an all time great poster. So much real knowledge.

Sad News. A true Boiler who offered his opinions with no second thoughts. He was knowledgeable and heartfully honest with his feelings in his posts. We lost a good fan. RIP Mr. Stewart.

Sorry to hear this. His posts were one of the main reasons I started paying attention to OGFP way back in the day.
I remember him from way back on OGFP. Great insight, great story teller. He will be missed.
I too have fond memories from OGFP. One of the most intelligent and level-headed posters there. Learned a lot of inside info. RIP.

Wasn’t aware of that until reading his obit. He also loved High School hoops, him and I had numerous discussions on different players and teams from years past. He was a brilliant man.
He also had a lot of Peggs old-timers defending him when the yutes got too sassy. Good dude.
If there were a Purdue Mt. Rushmore of posters, Des would certainly be on it.
