Berg isn't going to be doing anything next season. We need another big this season and he isn't doing anything, not sure why folks keep thinking we don't need another big for depth because we have Berg.

We've seen this year that only having three viable bigs leaves us vulnerable. We're only going to have three viable bigs next season too. There are better players than Berg who will fit just fine with this team and culture who will be in the portal.

I agree Berg isnt the answer, but he is a big, he is depth somewhat, and I dont want to be the type of team that pulls scholarships. So unless Berg goes into the Portal himself, I dont think we have room.

15 scholarship limit starting for 2025-2026 season, so we will have at least 2 open.

We have two more spots, so no scholarships have to be pulled.
But I suspect that "the talk" is going to be given to Berg and that usually results in people seeking elsewhere.

It's clear Painter started the season hoping he'd develop.

Correct me if I am wrong, but has Painter ever gone to the transfer/portal for a big? Not saying this could not happen in the future, but think if he wants another big for next year, it will be from the High School ranks and not from the portal.
