Possible, but I don't think so. I have to think the recent comments by Painter are directed at Heide. To play small-ball would necessitate Heide playing the 4 and playing 25+ mpg. I think we now see 4 guys for 2 spots, like we saw mostly last year, although Furst didn't play much behind Edey. Now we have TKR, Berg, Furst, and Burgess. I like Berg to start right away, but maybe not long-term.
The guy's knee went into the side of the leg. That looked ok...it's when he collapsed that it looked like a spiral fracture. His leg twisted really sharply.
heal up DJ , get well, make sure you get enough protein, calcium, vitamin C, and vitamin D ( 800 IU's/ day) and come bac k strong rom this set back. Hopefully the light comes on for Furst to improve this year
It seemed like the guys heel kinda got whipped into the shin area. But yeah didn’t look that hard when it hit. But damn. But I suppose the silver lining is it gives him time to bulk up and put on muscle. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery!

Not likely a bad or displaced fracture. He walked off, no obvious deformity, and it took multiple X-rays/scans to diagnose it seems. Strength training and adding weight/ muscle will be a huge goal this season.

Heide possibly needs more time at the 4. Worst case scenario, we run Furst or Burgess at the 5.
If that is the case, I really hope they go national for a surgeon. Possibly even outside of Indy. Putting pin/rod in the leg of growing 7'2" 18 y/o needs the best of the best IMO.
Painter said an interview today that you’ll ‘definitely’ see more of Trey at the five. I agree with you, I wouldn’t expect a steady diet of that, but they were always going to roll that out some.
I hope Burgess does step up, though I expect Furst to start. Burgess looks lost and without confidence right now. I hope that changes as he will get his chance. Definitely has the build to play the 5.
I like it. And we can switch it up on offense where we play a 4 guard perimeter with a. Lot of motion. We did this before and other teams have done to us.

I don’t mind it, I hope Furst gets a first crack as the new starter though, he’s looked pretty good in his limited minutes the first two games.
Yeah, I didn’t think he looked bad or lost. He gassed at times. If he keeps playing really hard, he’s going to find a role with DJ out. I’d love to see him hit a few threes.
