Dan Mullen shown the door

wonder who they get and what happens to him
Mullen was awful...shown the door is being kind in that he had been pounding on that door for some time...somebody just finally opened it for him.

Yet ANOTHER guy who left a situation that was a really good one for one that he perceived to be better...only to fail miserably.

Took a quick look at the early candidates list. Keep in mind those are all from commentators so take it with a truckload of salt but Franklin from pedophile state is on some of them. He does have $EC experience so who knows. Just speculation on my part but wouldn't surprise me if he's looking at exit strategies from State College and the feelings there may be mutual.

Crazy, A few New Years 6 bowls and an appearance in the SEC Championship game. Not to mention a win versus UGA. There must be a lot going on behind closed doors. Guy can coach.

I don't think he's going anywhere,

If he has more years like this year at PSU, he won't have a choice...as such, he might be better off making a jump if he can convince someone to give him a chance elsewhere.

This is a bad take. He was good until this year. Great team and an SECCG appearance last year. Think he just lost the team and they didn’t wanna fight for him anymore. Overall…he was good until this year.

That is fair, but, he was on thin ice at times before this year.

And, last year was anything but relevant or meaningful with COVID (no better example than Indinia).

I was admittedly referencing being terrible this year more so than his time in Gainesville...he played with fire too many times this year.

All of that said...it is not all in his control either, right? I mean I watched the Bears lose a game today that they had put themselves in a position to win because a CB blew a coverage on defense. Nagy is not going to survive in Chicago likely, but, a play like that is what plays into him losing his job...and not a thing in the world that he could do about it.

It all started to fall apart with LSU a year ago...the game where the kid through an opponent's shoe...things have not been good for him since.

I think he can coach (heck, I know he can coach)...I just did not feel like Florida was a good fit for him. He was good at Mississippi St. (thus why he go the UF job).

He will land on his feet, and, probably be better off elsewhere.
