Colvin in the Portal

This blind squirrel has been telling you the truth for over 10 years and you continue to ignore it! I told you so how many times? I believe it’s time you opened your eyes and actually read my posts! How many time have I told you Myles was likely to leave?
Lol wole you say the same things we all say but you say it AFTER we all do. Go look at the timestamps when we post compared to when you post.

you have been awfully active these past 3 days. There are multiple things I have said and then 30 mins later you say the exact same thing and think you came up with it 😂 but keep on keeping on ✌️

Well…at least it opens up a spot now for Catchings…he was on campus, too. Between NIL and wild free agency…college basketball has become very dis-interesting to me. I watched way less college basketball this past season. Let’s just have a damn auction for players…and again not win a championship, but buy one. The game has lost its luster.
Catchings was on campus this past weekend?

me too. he may be just testing the water to see what others would offer. The NIL is what it is...tugging at loyalty and team all teh time. Hopefully, he stays and gets what he needs. He was improving...
I’m surprised he wants to leave too. I disagree with you on this one. I wouldn’t take anyone back that enters the portal. If they want out then stay out. The door closes when they walk out.

Not surprised at all. Some fool on this board said about 1,000 times in today’s culture of a player has nba aspirations if they are not starting, they are departing! Somebody informed you legacy means nothing today. Somebody said next year would by Myles third year here and he was still not going start. So like Eastern and Stephens, he decided to leave so he could play. He sure wasn’t going to get any minutes playing behind Loyer or smith. And it would be 4 players going for minutes at the three. And it would be 4 if painter added a guard from the portal. The guy on Facebook said two weeks ago that a player contacted painter and said he was leaving. I guess that’s why painter gave him more playing time in the tourney. So in today’s world there is no loyalty for last players. If you have dreams of playing in the pros, if you ain’t starting’ you departing’
It is what it is. We would like to stack talent at every position and let their play work it out and have depth and have 2 or 3 great options at every position, but each player has different ideas and plans and motives. Some stay and do what we'd like and sometimes loyal to a fault. Others do what they feel is best for them. Can't really blame any of them...it works just like anything else in this world.

Put y your blind squirrel quote is a broken record and getting old! Admit I told you so at the beginning of the year. And told you again mid season and told youvehen the total opened! And all you wanted to do was argue and call me names.

You know so my uh more than me. BS TOTAL BS

From my business days…the guy that was always telling you they were the smartest person in the room…never was.

I agree with Rosie Colvin , Miles did what the system told him to do, and he will flourish somewhere. Sucks we are not going to see the polished Colvin. But it is what it is and let’s hope both the Boilers and Miles move on and are great
I agree with his dad as well. If that doesn't work for him or restricts MC too much, I don't fault him one bit for going to find what works best for him. It's hard for a system to be favorable to everyone especially to the degree in which everybody is content.

I wished he would of used his athleticism to drive to the basket and dunk on people rather than stand at the 3 point line ...But it never developed.....THis sucks but at least we don't lack shooters with West and Benter next year

I never saw this driving ability against pressure if he had it. Sure he was fun to watch on an open break-out, but he was just too 1-dimensional in the half-court... and even his shooting was streaky. His defense did get better, and I'm glad he developed more under Painter. I agree, Purdue has good shooters for next year, assuming no more transfers. Wish Colvin well, but this could be addition by subtraction if Painter uses the portal right for slashing guard or combo wing. Hopefully this also means Heide definitely has no intention of testing transfer portal... his loss would be harder to replace.

Can you tell us who we are gonna get to replace him? That would be cool.
I asked Bill Wheeler why Aaron was leaving? He gave me a long complex answer, but it boiled down to the after season break down with Painter. Painter told him he could stay but would not play as he was going in a new direction. For two years not one play was run to get Aaron a shot hard to improve if your coach has lost faith in you. Also, Benter is the same size as Colvin. I have been hearing nothing but praise for Jack. I wish Myles the best. I'm not convinced this was Myles decision it wouldn't be the first time Painter let the player take the high road. I believe Berg was told something similar. This is the business side of amateur sports. Ugly yes, it is. I believe Waddel was the player who informed Painter he was leaving. The other two got the Wheeler treatment no facts just my gut.

Painter states it, guys come and compete, improve, and do your best for the team.

When it’s over, he has said each man has to do what they think is best for them.

I’m sure Coach would love MC to stay, good young man with skills.

if it was strictly playing time, then with some things I typed earlier he probably did make up his mind earlier. However, if not, then it is also possible numbers were thrown his way and that is the biggest reason. I have no idea why, but this whole NIL thing is tough for me while it is a part of college rather than semi-pro league. It is what it is

I doubt that he told CMP earlier because had he done that, Painter would not have played him as much and would have worked with others that are coming back. My guess is that Painter told him to go.

I can name one play for Myles. It was an out of bounds that Braden hit him right In the shooting pocket and Myles nailed it.

In what way did the system restrict him?

Back in June someone posted this,

and I stated if that is how MC practices he wasn't getting any better. Most here gave me a hard time.

This is how you have to practice shooting,
